Most of these so-called unicorns really have head scratching business models. Can only praise their founders for having glib tongues to convince investors.

Definitely not 1 month for this latest round. In Sept 2022 retrenchment yes I think got 1 month, now is like below lor:

    10 days’ wages for every year of employment under a continuous contract of service with the employer if he has been employed by that employer for a period of less than 2 years.
    15 days’ wages for every year of employment under a continuous contract of service with the employer if he has been employed by that employer for 2 years or more but less than 5 years.
    20 days’ wages for every year of employment under a continuous contract of service with the employer if he has been employed by that employer for 5 years or more.

I was told everything was super last minute. Really bad handling from the management/HR. No office wide announcement. Started with townhalls for different departments at different days. After that called in for 1on1 and then provided letter.... most are immediate termination. Feel really bad but I guess it is the risk with startups.
