May i know how long do Public bank released the on-hold transaction? can it be within 1 day? i did a fund transfer transaction, but it has been marked as "on hold" because it deemed suspicious by the bank... anyone has encountered this?

i had this nonsense on hold from Public Bank before, just pulled the funds via debit card to BigPay and performed my transactions accordingly

tat is for cooling off period for you to consider or maybe you did a mistakes

It did happen to me. Transfer money from my pb account to my sister hlb bank account via mypb, suddenly pb placed my transfer transaction on hold and then the pb bank staff call me to verify so that transaction can be released and proceed.

My guess is that this is a safety measure to prevent any potential scams and fraud transaction occurred on the account, especially when someone attempt to hack the online banking accounts. I search on google but I found a news where pb introduces cooling-off period for abnormal transactions to fight scammers, in this case transaction on hold.

because online is a very dangerous place, so they need on hold if u transfer a sum of money. It is a safety measure to ensure it is not a scam.

The bank usually puts the transaction on hold to give you some time in case you've made a mistake. I know someone who experienced this — he later realized he had deposited money into a scammer's account because of an investment scam !!!
