Village Grocer = T20 ?
Lotus's / Pasar Pagi = B40 ?

People here really think like this? More proud of buying groceries at Jaya/Village Grocer than Lotus's?

Lotus's can easily get fresh vegetable and fruit if shop early, right timing, etc. And also, most important is how the food is prepared and cooked.

only go JG/VG/Bens only if want a cleaner and tidier supermarket experience

Lotus/NSK is notorious on hygiene issues, that said NSK has the cheapest produce pre gram. only issue with NSK is their vegetables cannot last, last time buy their veges if didnt separate package and store in kitchen towel guaranteed rot within 3 days. Lotus/VG/JG can last 1.5 weeks at least.

however these days most of their vege pricing for Lotus, Bens, VG etc all almost similar for local vege. heck even against local wet market also almost same price

Lotus like drop standard after Tesco sold out and left. CP also like very motivated to enhance the product range and shopping experience.
VG nearest to me of the branded mid/upper tier grocers
I still try to support my local Redtick grocer that doesn’t seem to be doing too well.

If u ask me, Jay Grocer, Village Grocer, BIG all sure t20 level lol..if your salary more than 10k per month can afford to shop here every week..if below that don't dream lol sure pokai..better go to NSK or normal wet market

I too miss tesco Uk finest products.

In total if you buy its still very expensive to shop there..I did try once, chicken, few veges and other household items like bread, jem all that add up all came up to RM 170 and this was before covid.. now god bless you lol

Knn Ayam remember last time went tesco kepong got few pipul sohai auntie dun wan mention the racing but really facepalm took out eggs, fruits and veges die die want to choose the best one for them

Love their jams and pasta sauces and coffee powder.
Nowadays I hardly go to lotus. Aeon is right below my workplace. I just grab and go. Sometimes I will go VG if need to, but mainly Aeon or JG.
