Hi to all developers out there, I would like to ask what would be the best language to learn for developing a SaaS? I am not building one for a business, it's more of a personal goal / project.

I am pretty familiar with HTML/CSS and wordpress since I develop Websites, but developing a SaaS is a whole different ball game. I heard Java is a good place to start from all i have been reading and watching on YouTube.

So i would just like to get you guys take on this and see what languages are relevant in this modern age.

It's whatever you're familiar with.

If you already have some experience with wordpress, then you have some experience with PHP. So the next logical choice is Laravel.

Laravel has pretty much everything you need to start a SaaS, even a package that helps you integrate with popular payment providers and handle subscription.
