The average credit card balance is now more than $6,000, the highest in 10 years, a new report by TransUnion found.
Total credit card debt also reached a $1.08 trillion record in the latest quarter, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York reported Tuesday. Amid persistent inflation, consumers are struggling to afford their everyday expenses, TransUnion's Charlie Wise says.
