QUOTE(kimhoong @ Mar 19 2008, 09:54 PM)
Very nice pictures you guys got there. I think I have A LOT to learn (even for camera-phone standard doh.gif )

kksoon, ryant3 & wilsonjack228, since you both are using K810i, mind telling me if you use any cam driver? I'm using the original one cos there a few of different cam driver and I don't know which and how to start trying smile.gif
BTW, I have one noob question: Up to how far should macro be used?
*
I did not mod my k810i and i dont know how either sweat.gif my firmware version is R8BA024 icon_rolleyes.gif

as for macro, i usually keep a distance of approx 10cm from the object nod.gif

I don't see box. Is it because different cam driver?
I give up, what is it? smile.gif
*
if u dont see box then i think u're using landscape mode.. try auto or portrait

Hey guys, I never use Photoshop before. Do you think it's a good idea if I spend some time on it? Also, if yes, where to start?
*
playing with the contrast, brightness, etc would be a good start imo nod.gif

I asked before sweat.gif
I found out by experience that you cannot expect K810i to get ultra close-up macro. Once the subject is too near, it would become blurry.
*
yea.. i wonder if other phones face the same thing hmm.gif

i guess that's one big disadvantage of k810 sweat.gif but that's not a problem for me i guess icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(xtorm @ Mar 22 2008, 07:02 PM)
when i use u600 it can go really near tho, 5cm no problem at all during my trip to cameran at the buttefly farm smile.gif

g600 cant go tht near, but still not 10cmlah, mayb aorund 7-8, i think k800 can do better then thtler, i try my friend phone b4, just make sure the surface is not too reflective, cos the sensor light will reflect and cost the focus to be out

u600 really closeup, no editing, its a repost tho, best macro i took with tht phone.

g600...any closer its blur edi...sad.gif and its alot harder to get clear pic using macro cos im not tht femiliar with the half shutter thing, u600 can do AF with the cantre button of the phone, dun need half shutter, its a firmware issue i believe,

thanks xtorm for clarifying.. nice closeup macro shots u have there.. seems like u600 is great for taking really closeup shots icon_rolleyes.gif

Nice pictures everybody!

As all should know, to take macro'ed picture for camera phone, you cannot put your camera phone too near... I wonder, if it is not near enough, why is it called macro at the first place? hmm.gif
ryant3
Nice landscape pictures... quite refreshing after some macros for the past few pages laugh.gif
