Stayed there last year.

It is a group of buildings being managed as a hotel.

So I booked a 2 bed-room 'suite' with a hall, like a small apartment with balcony.

Location wise, you need a car/transport to reach there. Have to drive up to Genting, then drive down another 10 minutes to the actual hotel location.

Once you reach the place, the check-in is not on the 'main' building. The lobby I had to use for check in is on another, let's call it 'lobby' building. Did a self check-in with help of a staff because the receptionists were busy with other guests. Thankful it is straight forward, just need to scan IC.

I got my room, but it is in another building, let's call it 'room' building. Maybe because mine is not a standard room so it is not in the 'main' building. No issue, I just drop my luggage and ask where the parking was, was told to park at the 'main' building underground parking.

So I had to park at the 'main' building, take elevator up to the 'bridge' between 'main' and 'lobby' building, take elevator down to the lobby at the 'lobby' building, walk towards my building and take another elevator up in the 'room' building, to my room. Overall a very confusing and tiring experience.

Room itself was fine, no complaints for the price I paid.

Hotel Breakfast is at the main building where the 'bridge' between two buildings is, so I need to take elevator down at my 'room' building, walk towards 'lobby' building and take an elevator up to the 'bridge' and walk towards main building where the breakfast and also pool is.


So if you want to go Genting casino for example or theme park, you need to drive there or get a cab. You can walk, but it is very far and uphill. Expect Genting prices for everything there, meaning KL price x2 or more.

Last year when I was there, there was also construction of another hotel (Wyndham) beside the Grand Ion Delemen, meaning the balcony is very dusty and noisy. Also it seems to be 24 hours, because late into the night can still see lights and hear construction sounds.


Overall the experience was quite a let down, there isn't much food options as well compared to Genting but everything is priced according to Genting. Including the convenience store items.

The only thing got it going for me was it's price for the size of the room. And it is clean.

My advice, stay there only if you don't mind the inconvenience, because it is cheap for the room size.

Get all your convenience store items from KL before going up to Genting as per normal.

Don't stay there if you don't have your own transport.

Parking in Genting is already an 'experience', so expecting to find easy parking there whenever you want to go to Genting from this hotel is naive. You can imagine the stress if you want to go Genting for lunch and dinner, including the drive there, you can expect a 10 min journey + 20 minute parking selection. If you don't want this stress, pay for Grab to bring you to and fro.

got two blocks

the hotel block without balcony. The lobby is in this block. Multi-storey parking is also in this block. Breakfast buffet is also in this block.

the apartment block with balcony. Need to walk to the other block to access the rooms.

i have stayed in both. My recommendation is the apartment block because got kitchen and balcony but slightly more expensive.

the hotel block got connecting room door to the next room. So if u have a noisy neighbour,

Got balcony gooding coz can isap fresh air. Expensip?

Good if you want a big unit to stay and you have a car...

Can be good if you don't mind paying high price for GRAB as well.

If you do not want to pay GRAB, you might sometimes unable to find shuttle bus to and back Genting.

Certainly you cannot walk from the hotel to Genting

not even one single grab available during my stay there
