Base unit iMac 24 is now 6,299 - price up by 700!

This is strange considering they reduced the MacBook Pro 14” price!

Ya, that’s my point bro - they reduced the MacBook Pro price at the same time. So it’s definitely less to do with currency but more to do with strategy? They probably want more people to buy MacBook Pros…

Technically yeah, we got reduction of RM900 for base Macbook Pro but US got reduction of 400 USD, so yeahhh MYR is 2nd worst performing currency in Asia affects the import products...

They really want to drag it until October 2024 to fully comply to switch to USB-C for all products 😂

I would say it’s worth the 700 for the M3 since it’s two generations ahead.

Definitely M3, base M3 has a lot of improvements over base M2.

Just returned it in TRX.

The iMac m3, 8GB/256GB, will lag while doing online class and multitask. I suspect it is because the SSD of 256GB use one slot and keeping another slot empty.

Anyway, the returned is very smooth. No question asked.

My m1mba is smoother than the m3 imac 8gb/256gb when come into multitasking. So no choice, i have to go for m3 imac in higher configuration of 16gb/512gb to have smooth experience like m1. Sad.
