Due to falling sales, had to retrench few of part-time workers from my MCD franchise branch. October 2023 will be the last for them.

Had mixed feelings when seeing their faces getting this news. What to do, orders from HQ. Fun fact the majority of them are Malay workers.

Doing it with my uncle, minority share partner in my uncle company. My uncle owns the franchise license for few MCD branches and other food chains.

Most of MCD workers are Malay, maybe they prepared for the outcomes…

HQ will send monthly reports back to us and give recommendations to improve profits.

For toys, it is determined by MCD Malaysia HQ. The supplier supplys them to the branches. The duty of branches is to make sales and profit.

Yup, sort off. Before boikot the sales were dipping a bit.

My uncle had plans to reduce the headcounts, he is decision maker.

Majority of the workers are Malay, but they are the one doing the boikot too.

You do not understand how MCD franchise works.

For example Ali Muthu Sdn Bhd wants to open a MCD restaurant on a piece of land that Ali Muthu company owns. First they apply for MCD franchise license from MCD Malaysia HQ. MCD Malaysia HQ is owned by Arabs.

Every month Ali Muthu Sdn Bhd pays license fee, royalty fee, and other fees to MCD Malaysia HQ.

Basically taking this time to chop off those bad fruits.😁😁

Part time workers are the most problematic ones, always MC, etc.

Up to MCD Malaysia HQ to decide.

We are only one of the small fish franchise owners with few MCD branches.

For MCD, most of staff power is focused at kitchen area and delivery area. Since order taking is handled by those touch screen machines, MCD app, etc.

The menu items are determined by MCD Malaysia HQ.

Not matter what, MCD will survive. They are cash loaded company.

People will forget easily, in months to come people will come back to MCD and eat like normal.

Food pricing is determined by MCD Malaysia HQ.
