Basically what GX bank is trying to say is it’s too late for them to make any calculation changes now.

Because if they change something in the backend they’ll have to retest the whole flow again.

And if they do change there’s possibility there will be bigger f ups in other areas.

So basically we all stuck with the current calculation & system in place...

They also don't want to mess around the system settings...

Well it's just limited time period only... Just accept... It's the best rate we could get in market now...

they better dont fix anything since all move to new magic number 4941.01 for all my Savings Pockets

Do not trust calculators completely. Some have bugs.
It took Microsoft more than 10 years to fix theirs.

In the midst of everyone doing detailed calculation suddenly can have 'pick from air' numbers like this. To earn 1 million at 10 cents per pax over 30 days need 333,333 customers to be affected. Each customer save 3k (at exactly the right decimal value per pocket)?

GX's 15 decimal points oddity has been present at least 10 days before the Raya promo. It makes them payout 1 sen for every pocket that has RM61 @3%. RM61 should be 0 sen interest if calculated with 11 decimal points.

Not losing, you still get the same amount. Is just that those who do 4941.01 can put the remainder of RM58.99 somewhere else to earn additional interest. Actual difference is about 18 sen in interest earned from Rize 3.8% (for example). Multiply by 10 for 10 pockets. That's the 'loss'. For normal people, the hassle of moving small amounts here and there and spending your brain to calculate is worth more than this.
