Hi everyone,

It’s me again sweat.gif

I have installed copper pipe for all rooms. Originally i plan to install the copper pipe only and the AC will be installed later in the future.

However after the copper pipe installation done, then I realised this horrendous sight (see pictures)

I need suggestions..how to hide the horrible view? So sakit mata to look at it 😭

If you put something else, then you need to drill here and there and later need to patch again. The best choice is to buy air-cond and fix it smile.gif

Can just fold the piping to be closed to the wall and use it for hanging picture frame. Or maybe just drill two small holes to hook the frame and hide the pipe. Those holes can be behind the air-cond once air-cond is installed

I asked my contractor to cut short the copper pipe to the length that is just enough for installation of AC later, bend it to the right and install a plaster board box up to cover it. I think it's around 4 to 5 inches' thick.

But will need to remove the plaster box up and do some touch up and painting when you need to install the AC later.

I love the idea of plaster box up but it is costly (might as well i install AC).
so i decided to cover the copper pipes with the AC casing and paint the casing same color with the wall. It might looks weird but i think this is the most easiest and cheaper solution.

I really appreciate your ( Zot and lowyat101 ) replies/suggestions. It really helps me making this final decision. Thanks so much 😭

for inverter, between indoor unit and outdoor unit connection is LNE (3 wires for power) and one more (4th) for signal. https://youtu.be/9-oUDhE3FkE?si=12MbQqvVzEPF9aF4&t=78

if its 3-wires on the IDU-ODU link, that means your installer will "cheat" by substituting the earth wire as signal cable, thereafter no earth for the ODU

IDU and ODU are Indoor Unit and Outdoor Unit respectively.

It is cheaper for them to buy a roll of 3 core cable than 4 core. Furthermore it is more commonly used for them I guess laugh.gif

True, but signal cable don’t need to be very good spec, even those fake cable 2.5mm at RM50/roll also plenty for signal because it’s not carrying power.. it’s just low voltage signals
