This is my car now. 2019 CBU. Rubber seals already perished. Mounting had to change within 3+ years, out of warranty only 3 years for mounting not the advertised 5 years. Steering rack changed, under warranty. Suspension noise, unsolved by SC. Fuel consumption mak oihh high as Snoop Dogg, full tank 500km for RM100 at RM2.05/l. This one X50/70 also same, my fren complain 8.5km/l on his X50.

Note that Proton and Perodua have government protection through higher excise duties for Honda, Toyota and other non-national cars.

Also, Honda, Toyota and etc have cut their profit margin, in order to minimize the price difference with competing Proton and Perodua cars in the same car-segment, to about RM10k to RM20k.

In the case of Proton S70, Proton has likely also cut it's profit margin, in order to out-compete Honda Civic in the same C-segment and to market the S70 as "customers buying a C-segment Proton car for the price of a B-segment non-national car like the Honda City and Toyota Vios". .......

In my opinion, if you support local product, probably can consider Proton Inspira, since Inspira is almost same level with Mitshumithi Lancer, it above Toyota Vios and Honda City already, almost can compete with my Civic 1.8.
