QUOTE(Gargamel_gibson @ Nov 29 2023, 04:31 PM) This is my car now. 2019 CBU. Rubber seals already perished. Mounting had to change within 3+ years, out of warranty only 3 years for mounting not the advertised 5 years. Steering rack changed, under warranty. Suspension noise, unsolved by SC. Fuel consumption mak oihh high as Snoop Dogg, full tank 500km for RM100 at RM2.05/l. This one X50/70 also same, my fren complain 8.5km/l on his X50.
wah, you drive fast ka usually? or just normal driving 70-90km/h?

QUOTE(lurkingaround @ Dec 4 2023, 11:04 PM) . Note that Proton and Perodua have government protection through higher excise duties for Honda, Toyota and other non-national cars. Also, Honda, Toyota and etc have cut their profit margin, in order to minimize the price difference with competing Proton and Perodua cars in the same car-segment, to about RM10k to RM20k. In the case of Proton S70, Proton has likely also cut it's profit margin, in order to out-compete Honda Civic in the same C-segment and to market the S70 as "customers buying a C-segment Proton car for the price of a B-segment non-national car like the Honda City and Toyota Vios". ....... ht tps :/ /p a ult a n. o r g/2023/11/22/proton-s70-targets-japanese-b-seg-sedans-honda-city-toyota-vios-nissan-almera-civic-secondary/ - 2023/11/22 - proton-s70-targets-japanese-b-seg-sedans-honda-city-toyota-vios-nissan-almera; civic-secondary .... So there you have it, a car marketed as a C-segment sedan but priced to compete with B-segment ones. This is the same trick as the one used for the X70 – CR-V rival at HR-V pricing. Of course, the Proton-Geely models are smaller than the CR-V and Civic – they’re more of an in-between product – but salesmen will be able to use the “Civic rival at City price” good value pitch. ... A bit of Proton history, ....... https://www.calvyn.com/proton-new-car-proton-inspira/ - proton-new-car-proton-inspira - launched 10 Nov 2010 .... Whoever that has a chance to glance on its photo will know that it is similar to Mitsubishi Lancer GT, another Lancer in Proton growing history. Somehow, it is selling at a much lower price range from RM79,888 to RM95,000. ...
However, for those who cannot afford for a real Mitsubishi Lancer which will cost you about RM120,980, this could be a solution or choice for you. The Inspira is available in 1.8 litre CVT (Continously Variable Transmission) and manual transmission as well as a 2-litre CVT transmission. One point to praise on the Inspira is the interior design, it does look luxurious in the photos. It even has a LCD that the original Mitsubishi Lancer does not have. ...
Proton is confident with this new car. Consumer, are you confident with Proton quality? With this price, one could get a nice Honda City or Toyota Vios. ...
In my opinion, if you support local product, probably can consider Proton Inspira, since Inspira is almost same level with Mitshumithi Lancer, it above Toyota Vios and Honda City already, almost can compete with my Civic 1.8. . ....... ....... ....... ....... / wheelbase / length .. / engine capacity Proton Inspira 2010 / 2635mm / 4570mm / 1.8 liter Honda Civic 2009 .. / 2700mm / 4550mm / 1.8 liter Honda City 2009 .... / 2550mm / 4410mm /1.5 liter Toyota Vios 2007 .. / 2550mm / 4300mm / 1.5 liter . wait S70s on the road then ask those who bought it la.. no need speculate now. Safest way to know.
