 Can't install linux, can't install linux on HP 270-p003d

Hi guys......
i am new to linux just wanted to learn
my dad left his old pc lying around so idecided to use it to pratice linux
it is a HP 270-p003d
i tried ubuntuwhen it reach the partion of hdd it load and nothing comes up
i left it overnight and nothing happens
i tried fedora
but when i tried to install.They say that i have an issue with hdd and i can't install
so i was wondering is it possible that i can't install Linux on my PC/HP block my PC or is my HDD having a problem?

Might want to run a disk checker off a bootable-usb that doesn't need installing.

e.g. https://www.system-rescue.org/'s testdisk. Caveat: I've never used either.

I usually debug off any liveusb I have, but that may too advanced.

the UEFI JUST CHANGE IT
Can INSTALL already
justtried fedora
i prefer ubuntu
giong to format and install it now

I believe what you mean is to turn off secure boot in the UEFI settings.

the strange thing is....
fedora can install not even a min it hangs
ubuntu install 1/2 way it freezes

Perhaps you should try installing older versions of fedora & see, try installing older versions, maybe it will work.

Do try the following :-

1. Inside BIOS/UEFI, Disabled "Secure Boot".

2. If option available, select --> Disabled Secure Boot & Legacy Boot.

3. Ensure HDD is configure to --> AHCI.

4. During the creation of USB Boot for Ubuntu, use Rufus Utility and try either "GPT" or "MBR" scheme, sometimes older PC only supports MBR type.
