I think there's an alternate product on Shopee with immediate stock called MaxTag.

Why are you still opting for obsolete tech? Why not RFID?

cause its still better? than RFID which is low radio freq?

i still prefer rfid

just use max tag lah. My Max Tag already 3 years still going strong.

just go to Maxtag office in petaling jaya, they have ex-stock there

RFID after they adjusted the reader now quite stable for the past 3 months. Previously always stucked at Putrajaya and Sunway tolls.

this maxtag is ok, but still need 10 days pre -order. or can it ship quicker? kinda urgent

Yes. Probably because that time they still have stock selling and probably grace period for those who just bought it at that time?.

Now, the Smart Tag lane also got people with TnG cuing pretending that the tag failed to read and they need to touch. Also there are lane that has sign for both Tag and TnG. Can be annoying

Exactly bro, this one i frustrated tbh. Now i'm using RFID, with TNG NFC with card extender.. but i see in Subang/SK/Cyberjaya the RFID area.. hmm always packed before/after work which can be frustrating compared to smartag lane

yesterday entered RFID lane at Sg. Besi toll

then when about to exit Bangi toll, got a car stuck at RFID lane, another car was behind him too

so, thought that both also will be using TnG e-wallet

I switch to TnG lane, touch TnG card at the terminal but couldn't exit

I had to switch back to RFID lane only then could exit

thought that they're all integrated already

That is when they can completely setup the alternative payment using credit card wave.

The question would be for those people living in rural area that probably once a year go through tolled highway. Meaning they need to maintain some money in e-wallet (must have smart phone) or must have credit card. Even id they keep only RM1 in the wallet, imagine 20mil citizen. The e-wallet service provider can just pay their employee from these min balance. No wonder banks want to charge transaction as well
