I am over 60 years old and having high cholesterol for years. I understand there is a risk of plaque buildup in the blood vessels although I have no symptoms.

Is there a medical check-up for plaque buildup available in the clinics or companies like BP Lab, etc in Penang? What tests should I request and the cost of such a test?

i'd suggest you go for a full health screening including ECG stress test (running on treadmill) to check for heart abnormality.. over 50 cost from rm800 onwards... i don't think plague buildup in blood vessels will give any symptoms at all

Go and take BG22 oat everyday la. U need to change your diet. I started taking oats and cut down on alot of oily food. My cholesterol levels have improved and i lost a ton of weight.

CT based scan is not optimum for heart as the heart keeps beating.
If you have symptom like breathlessness, chest pressure or pain, even very little, better get the real angiogram.
