I still using affordable brand Genius, sliding type, more than 10 yrs now so far never got problem. Lastime bought around 1.5K++.

More heavy duty that can support more weight will be more expensive cos different gate different weight, depends on material of the gate. SS gate usually lighter.

Before MCO replacing existing hydraulic autogate to stainless steel 2 door+ dc motor+new controller+ 5 remote total RM 3k+ promotion price don't know apa brand fast forward today already 5 year still functional, i believe now 3k+ for 2 door is hard to get, just extending roof futher from inside to gate last time 5k now need 10k

Normally autogate price doesn’t depend on the gate weight. Price is base on the model u go for like normal set or some with more feature. Normal will range from RM900-1200 and those with more feature will cost from RM1,500/-RM2K++

i use dc moto, it's been 12 years still working.

Got failures , nut nothing to do with the motor but rather the ball bearing of the gate.

30 years dulu, yes. Now no need, so far my newest gate has 6 & 8 years motor still ok, previous one slow so changed.

I am also planning to diy. How did yours go?

I wasn't the one diy it ..it was my uncle who did it.
He has all the welding tools and the spannar and screw driver .
U need 2 person to be thr. The someone may help u to hold the thing.
My neigher next door one arm broken asked handyman to install just one arm charge him 600++ lol.

very pretty and unique...but what if the gate malfunctions when in the closed position? got to crawl thru the garbage area? A small manual door beside the gate would be handy.

DC motor with stainless steel door, best prefer swing door. because normaly those slide door berat motor cepat rosak

cannot diy coz need welding the bracket to the gate, and if you dont a drill, need someone to drill a hole on the gate column for another bracket and for controller box.

Other than welding the brackets and drilling holes, the rest you can DIY.

Hi all, I have this DCmoto 925 model.

the gate swung normally until recently, especially after heavy rain, it stopped operating.

I buka and found that the back up battery 12V 7.2AH terminal has been corroded due to corrosion (water ingress / or just normal lead acid battery corrosion) on the battery terminal, I have disconnected it .

I naively connect the positive and negative directly to bypass the backup battery function, but it doesn't move at all.

on the Board itself, the LED light on the PCB itself is blinking at every 4 seconds, the LED light also response to pressing of the the remote control, but the gate and the motor is silent doesn't move at all, I have ordered a back up battery to try.

Will update later.
