i allowed my previous maid to use phone whenever she wants as long as it doesnt interfere with her work.
she is not a slave. she is a person with friends and family.
no matter how well you treat her, access to communication and entertainment is necessary to keep her sane. can you imagine living with an employer 24/7 without being able to contact your family? it wont work dude.
