TS already got X1 and X3, then buy another BMW la, why go and buy VW?
VW more superior than your BMW in terms of ride?
both X1 and X3 are bulky. TBH I hated X1, it does look weird, but wifey love it, so happy wife happy life they say. Both SUV, now looking to own sedan.

Don't buy new one.
Get a 1-1.5 yr old. Instantly save 100k.
Like I said, they do have the gemilang deal atm. so save some headache on maintenance.

Current owner here since mid 2022. Previously owned a Tiguan MK1.5 year 2013, so I did have my fair share of dealing with peep-peeves of a VAG vehicle.
- Yes, the dealer would put on sport mode for test drive and put on RON97.
- I got a good deal, no SST, full price only RM248K, but only 3 years free maintenance with 5 years warranty. But mine is pre-IQ Drive, so I have to fork another RM3K to do upgrade to Adaptive Cruise Control outside (Euro Retrofit).
Pros:
- Fuel saving
- Premium cabin material, seats are super comfy
- Spacious, for all: self, front & rear passengers. Boot space is a CAVE!
- Multiple drive mode/profiles - can be really sporty and fast
- Frameless door and still good sound insulation
- Great sound system with subwoofer
- Easy to accumulate speeding tickets (is this a PRO?)
- Wireless Android Auto or Apple Carplay out of the box
- IQ Drive with Travel Assist (really takes the stress out of crawling traffic)
Cons:
- Currently the supplied 19" 245 40 Pirelli P-Zero tires are under recall for premature failure
- High maintenance: Oil change (fully synthetic 0W-30), DSG services, HALDEX (4Motion) services
- Known VW issues: ignition coil packs, quick-to-wear front lower arm bushing, ABS speed sensors, evap charcoal canister, plastic coolant pump, plastic oil sump bottom cover.
- When vehicle ages, oil leaks are common.
this is great! thanks for the elaborated review.

no issue for first 24 months... after 24 months you will have sensor failing which cost RM20 each like the water sensor, wheel sensor, light switch, and others. Nothing big if you can deal with small small item like this then ok ... the car is awesome and lovely just a bit "Princess Atitude" but wild in the bed.
I think I can live with that.
