Last time I always bought electrical appliances from Sen Heng due to the discount for members (quite decent price and got extended warranty after discount). Also can collect quite a lot of points for discount on next purchase. There are a lot of options that you can choose and can go to another outlet if one does not have what you are looking for.

If you really want a good discount, you need to find out the shop that distribute to other small seller and befriend the tauke there. They have distributor price but they also do not want to spoil their relationship with reseller that order from them. In home appliances, they normally not just distributors but also seller. All they want is to hit target. They can probably give you reseller price smile.gif

I remember talked to one spare part shop on engine oil sold by Tesco. The boss told me that the price Tesco is selling is below their buying price, but they cannot but from Tesco because it will void agreement between him and the authorized supplier laugh.gif

I used to be closed to one sales guy. He even showed me the purchase price, storage cost (i.e. estimated cost the appliances sit in the shop before being sold which include space and electricity cost. Basically operation cost) and the selling price to customer. So, they have discount range they can give. Seller got limit unless want to cut his commission. Else they can ask boss for more discount.

Once my brother wanted to buy a microwave oven similar like me and I told him the price I get. The shop he asked was selling higher price after asked for discount and the shop need to order because no stock. I told my brother to ask for more discount because it is a confirmed order. No additional cost like operation cost involved. At the end the shop gave my brother the price I told my brother to ask. smile.gif

That is one way of getting good price.

For me its Harvey Norman but you need to find a branch with good sales person and manager. Survey prices from other stores, get the lowest price and go to Harvey Norman for nego. They will usually beat or match the price. However their salesperson will then push the extended warranty, up to you whether to take it

For fridge and washing machine u can go to this shop TWK Electrical in Puchong. Last time i did survey in Shopee and found out this shop offers cheapest price for the items i wanted to buy. I ended up going to their shop just because i want to see the items by myself lol. I bought Hitachi fridge and LG washing machine.

Not living in Klang lo. Just saying how I get low price than offer price. If not just wait for year end sales or when new model coming out .. usually in June.

Unless you know the price, else you'll not get cheapest price.

Know what you want to buy, shortlist them, then compare the pricing offline and online. I would say there is not one shop that would have everything cheapest. If you have big item purchase like fridge, best to start from there, nego until cheapest u feel comfortable with then slowly add items and nego further.

Buying all from one shop wont be cheapest but would be more convenient to accept delivery in one go.
