Soon. Likely Nov or Dec.
Early rumour from my James Bond said it will be 1.5 turbo engine. I guess they will mirror X50 range with the top end having DI turbo. The 1.5 NA engine will be available later on, not during launch.

Bet base spec with 1.5T MPI, full spec with 1.5T Tgdi. That's the engine available or produce here

Car dealer taking booking. Est from RM80k onwards. For this price range, I’m guessing that the 1.5 turbo engine will be given

bro, from what i've heard (from ppl who drive it already) it's using x50 MPI setup which is not higher than Mazda 2.0 and there is no Mazda 2 2.0 variant, all of them is 1.5.

Only MPI for S70. Hp, Torque as usual retain same for all model using this engine. Proton should be more hardworking by adjusting (via tuning?) for hp/Nm according to car model if possible.

based on few reviews (reviewer testing event or something) the throttle respond is a joke like x50/x70. It's not smooth on pedal respond, press a little = slow respond, press more = jumpy.

Hopefully they really fix it.

tbh is mpi/lower hp such a big deal?

i think the current figures are perfectly adequate.

Not tbh. At least prevent from carbon deposit as GDI issues. Slightly less hp/Nm is not too much

Definitely looks like a B-Segnent beater. The only question mark now is how the fuel consumption is like. Frugal or crazy like the TGdi on the X50?

First impression it looks promising. MPI should not have the problem of carbon build up like in the TGdi?

frankly i prefer mpi over gdi.... less problems for the injectors in the long run... there are better ways of getting more power than that

Not injector issues, carbon deposit due to fuel (with additive) not passing thru the valves. Nowadays many workshop offer carbon deposit cleaning at rm400, use to be rm700-800 years ago. Use walnut for cleaning
