Well... the easier to type and that goes to CMD. So far no use need for power shell or terminal yet. All can be done by cmd. Mine share what advantage power shell and terminal have over cmd MatQuasar liked this post

My daily drive now is Terminal, I used to use CMD last time. As Terminal now have greater functionality such as split panes and multi-tabs... boy its saves me a lot time with this features. but from time-to-time, I will use PowerShell due to certain managing tasks of servers that needs to be in cmdlets. QUOTE(MatQuasar @ Oct 16 2023, 03:21 PM) My favourite is Windows Terminal..... Now there is bash (WSL), Command Prompt, PowerShell...but when I run Terminal it still shows PowerShell. you mixed up something![]() Terminal is the console/terminal emulator, internal can be anything, newest one of course is Windows Terminal, older are Powershell/CMD console but both are virtually the same you can run cmd, powershell and unix shell (via Cygin,Msys, used to be able to) inside windows. commandline processor is CMD, or Powershell, CMD exist for compatibility reason, powershel is the newest and more advanced. |

I think from the screenshot below can see Terminal is actually just an interface that support multiple tabs of Command Prompt and PowerShell.
