Guys, i just came back from Cheras Used Car. And now i'm kinda confused either to take the 335i or the 325i. My heart wants the 335i but my pomen recommend 325i. Both cars have above 110k mileage with 325i the highest, around 170k. Anyone can enlighten me about both model.

335i :-

1) 1 Owner
2) Original M Sport
3) Bilstein Adjustable
4) Akrapovic Exhaust
5) Leather Seat

325i :-

*Brand new Water Pump & Thermostat.
*Brand new Radiator Assembly.
*Brand new Expansion Tank.
*Brand new temperature sensor.
*Brand new complete valve cover assembly.
*Lambda sensor.
*Din100L battery.
*Rewrapped roof liner.
*Front absorber assembly with all the top mount, bump stops, end-links, etc.

If n54 335i better be cautious and check for the service history. U can google up n54 n u can see all issues. if n55, u can consider as bmw has made a lot of improvements based on n54 feedback .. for this price/performance ratio, 335i for sure can tapau most of the daily drivers on the road.

335i but just note to replace the blistien adjustable assuming it’s b16 it’s gonna cost u around 9k new ya

Also whilst the engine is bullet proof the other parts aren’t

The buttons etc and door panel need to replace after a while due to our hot weather

But notwithstanding the 335i 5 pot is good to tune and it has potential or even convert to m3 also can lol

>10 year old CBU, like RoadWarrior said, assume you have factored in interior maintenance (as oppose to CKD 325i I assume), then the 3.0 litre will surely be more "fun". Since you likely buy cash, I think maintenance cost is not an issue.

I will go with 335i in your case :-)

N54 335i you can mod till kingdom come and extract more hp than you know what to do with if you’re into these things. Will probably dapao even a stock M3 with a few mods... the E92 was imho the last truly beautiful 3 series...

N55 or n54?

If n55 then ok.

Got its problems as it ain't Saint. 325 is not a fun and thrill as 335. Again wallet need to be deep and should know where to repair.

Definitely, the 335i is a better choice for performance and weekend fun.

However, if you prefer lower road tax costs and easier maintenance, then the 325i isn't a bad option.

If you were to ask me, I would choose the 335i. cool2.gif

Mind sharing what exactly are you looking for in a Bimmer? Do you wanna mod it like you stole it and sleeper your way to legit street cred, smoking everyone at the traffic lights and then some?

Or, are you content with a coupe that also doubles up as a comfy cruiser?

335i for the former, for sure.

Otherwise, the buttery smooth NA IL6 N52 (if memory serves me correctly) makes for a great cruising experience in the 325i.
