nowadays they promote a lot combination fibers.....no more 100% cotton....or silk...

reason?
1. expensive
2. no enough to supply if everybody want 100% cotton or silk
3. only yahudi need to wear 100% pure cotton clothes.....other race no need

all mentioned >500 TC are use "don't know what method" to measure the TC....

in industry, almost impossible to go up to 1000TC/1200TC or it will be very expensive...

also....TC only applicable for cotton la.....if you use other fiber/PVC/polyester.....no TC

Don't care la. As long that technology is used on akemi or what ever brand..

I look for tencel logo on it.
