Some context:

I am a data science student at a local private uni with a 3.9 cGPA. Not much extracurricular roles in uni and no prior working experience of any kind.

Invited: the employer contacted me first

No openings: the employer has no openings that match my university internship requirements

Incompatible: the employer has verbally offered an internship, but it does not match my university requirements

Must be aligned with computer science/data science with sufficient technical work/tasks. Must be supervised by a mentor with expertise in the field.
