In September 2023, Bank Negara Malaysia levied a fine of RM50 million on iServe and six other related entities for money-laundering offences and accepting deposits without a license[35].

In May 2023, MYAirline shareholder Trillion Cove Bhd., controlled by Dato. Goh, was implicated in a money-laundering case involving Datum Mohamad Madani Sahari, the former CEO of the Malaysian Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute. He was charged with receiving RM19,000 of fees from illegal transactions, involving the purchase of RM1 million of Trillion Cove's Redeemable Preference Shares.[36]

In October 2023, Malaysian online news portal Free Malaysia Today claimed a "local entrepreneur" was close to launching a takeover bid for MYAirline, claiming that "town hall" meetings have already been held with the incoming owner.[37] Media reports have suggested that Abang Abdillah Izzarim Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari, a businessperson and commercial pilot who is the son of current Sarawak Premier Abang Abdul Rahman Johari Abang Openg, may be the new owner, claiming that he was sighted at one of MYAirline's "town hall" sessions, though this has been denied by sources close to the Sarawak Government.[38][39].

The seats are just fine.

Those who complain are those never taken flights recently. Air Asia are upgrading their flights into those new seats with fixed setting at the most ergonomic position.

Those seatings resulted in bigger leg space and quite comfy. The only complain is MYAirline in between seats arm rest which is too short. Air Asia one is longer and wider.

KUCHING (Oct 12): Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has denied a recent media report that said his son Abang Abdillah Izzarim would become a new investor of MYAirline Sdn Bhd, the carrier which has suspended its operations due to financial problems from Thursday.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, Abang Johari said the report by the media outlet might be due to the presence of Abang Abdillah in the company’s dialogue event in Kuala Lumpur recently.

"No. What happened was that my son went there with his friend, and he attended the town hall session at that time. So they (the media) speculated [after] seeing [him] there.

"My son is put in a difficult position. All his [movements] are being scrutinised by the people. I think this is not fair," he said.

Abang Johari also dismissed the report on the possibility of MYAirline becoming a Sarawak-owned airline, insisting that the state government is still focused on negotiations to acquire MASWings, a subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines Bhd.

"We are focused on [the acquisition of] MASWings. [The takeover is] under negotiation now, and it is just about the details. That's all," he added.
