This game only have tradition co-op (play with friends on same box) instead of online co-op. Which is rather disappointing really.

i cant wait for it, its not gonna win any awards for its graphics, bit i think the game looks great. the story must be something special since a movie is already in the works, and the co-op/multiplayer sound awesome. (im round my mates a lot so offline split screen co-op isnt a big deal for me) but the main thing i love about the game is that its very non-typical. you play as bad guys, they're not built like a walking tank, they dont have abnormally gravelly voices. they're just regular guys with a dark past and a bleak future. its just little things like the bald spot on kane and the majorly receeding hairline of lynch. all these things ad character, and in a game like this its what i look for. where gears of war and halo lack character from their main characters, this oozes it. it maybe a basic squad shooter at its core, but the stuff around it, characters, story, design are great imo. if its as good as freedom fighters i'll be happy. but i'd love for it to be longer.

its rare for a game to feel like a movie, they often strive for it, but never quite get there. this does it right.

reviews are mixed, mostly mediocre

the game is great, gamespot has a history of damning their reviews....

a majority thought the game was good.

I disagree with that remark, however to each his own but if you desire a more overall rating of the game, I usually rely on gamerankings.com which averages the score from a lot of reviewers including gamespot and ign. And gamerankings currently has this game in question pegged at 66.7% whereby anything under a 70% is usually not a recommended buy. Cheerio!

Not my cup of tea ... look at TF2 .. its just fades away after Halo 3 launch and then Halo 3 fades away after COD4 launch. Whats next

Gamespot some review can't be trusted. They gave not so high rating for mass effect. Mass effect was the best ad they gave low just because of the framerate loading is slow.

You should go watch the review in gametrailers in HD mode and see whether worth buying.

To me is like GTA + rainbow six only in 3rd person.

just rented this game today and played the first 2 levels

its SHIAT allright! and shame on you, gamespot (on the recent gerstmann issue)!

the graphic is ok. and thats all i can say thats nice of this game

the weapons feel.. nothing; its an understatement saying that they dont pack any punch. shooting a p90 feels like playing one of those flash games where you shoot teletubbies on screen

invisible walls. sloppy cover system. its like: take the hitman game, throw away all the cool stealth stuffs, and make it an intense shooter

ive yet to try any of the co-op stuff though, but judging by what ive played so far, i bet Earth Defense Force is 50x better then this POS

a complete waste of time. i want my 5 dollars back!

you call 8.5 not so high?! you're crazy. i LOVE mass effect. heck, it's my personal GOTY, but when you measure out the pros and cons, while there are many good things to say about the game, there's also a LOT of bad things to say about it. i say that the review is fair, you just have to not put too much focus on the score.

back on topic. the fact the gertsmann got fired for his 6.0 review for K&L is just WRONG. opinions are opinions. and average games are average games. those guys at eidos are just ***es. did you guys know they actually put quotes from previews on the official websites?. AND they intentionally put five stars on top of these quotes just to make it look like the the game actually got a five star rating, when most of the websites/magazines that the quote is picked from don't even rate their games on a five-star scale. unbelievable.

It's funny you know, games are rated like 8.3, 8.5, 9.4...

Why not 8, 9 or just 10 ?

I mean, what the heck is the difference between 8.3 and 8.4 ?

ps : Don't trust GameSpot. They're Zelda fans and they hate to review card games. Also, the site is "heavily supported" by game companies to support their games.

pps : Poor Jeff was fired bcoz of his low review on this game. Eidos supposedly trusted GameSpot to give this game a good score.

yeah that's why i kinda dislike IGN's way of reviewing their games with their 9.9 and 9.8, etc...

but you say that gamespot are zelda fans? well, they gave the latest zelda on wii an 8.8 whereas other gaming websites gave the game 10's and 9's. well, 8.8 is a damn good score but in comparison with other reviews, i don't see them being that much of a zelda fan.

gamespot is starting to lose their credibility due to the recent jeff issue. they just have their eyes on the money. i pity the writers/editors working on that site.

The problem with this game is the control and the gun. The control config really suck badly.

And the auto cover system is hard to use.

And the gun suck big time. Using powerful guns, if you try to aim for their head, you need to shoot 3-4 times just for them to die for a headshot.

Well, for the whole game, I use normal handgun shooting which can give me 1 bullet to the head and instant death.

Well the story line is good. and the dialog is fun. F*** here and there the whole time. LOL

I've tried the game. I think Jeff got fired because he gave the game too high a rating.

Eh, was looking forward to this game but looks like I won't be getting it.
