hi there.. im not sure whether this has been posted before.. i just really... really need ur advice on purchasing this next gen consoles or the now consoles..

here is the low down.. i previously owned a xbox.. but i dont know why i sell it (such n idiot 4 doing that.. )

the list is 360.. PS3.. PSP.. ps2.. Wii.. DS..

i really2 want to get the 360 console coz such greater graphics than PS3(too bright sometimes..).. (for me la)

but PS3.. well the games are expensive i suppose.. RM 250 for a game.. haiyaa..

i previously also own a PS2.. n compared to xbox.. well.. u know who won..

the PSP n DS is another thing.. i never owned a hand held before so i dont really know what are the benefits accept for portability n battery usage...

the Wii.. is??? well actually my friend said its the bomb.. but i dont know a thing about it.. so

the games that i like i think is a multi platform games like Fifa08, spiderman.. for now la..

other than that.. Gears of War.. Forza Motorsport2.. Dirt.. Skate.. PGR 4.. and other titles la..

so what im asking you guys is to help me make a decision... coz i've been to a dozens of shops.. n i cant do it on my own.. so please guys.. HELP ME..

and the 3 rod problem can it be avoided??

Since from the beginning of your preference is still xbox (correct me if i interpret the whole story wrong) , well i would suggest you get x360. Anyway, you might want to venture into other great console by Sony and Nintendo.

To me, they are equally great. It really depends on what games you enjoyed the most. For example, if you love FPS, then xbox360 is your main choice. And if you like Gods of War, then PS3 definitely...and if you are more on party games and you would like to invite frens and familiy from age 7 to 70, then you might consider WII...Sports and Yoga really kill me out!

My above suggestion must not be right as well...Reason being is XBOX360 is also catering for genre like Gods of War by introducing Conan (unfortunately banned in Singapore). Plus, there's one big game is releasing soon which is named (Assxxx Crxxd) will probably has the same faith with Conan. So you can see here, gaming providers are improving nowadays..

As for 3rod problem aka Rings of DEATH hmm We'd like to pretend that 360 is an infallible machine that NEVER GOES WRONG. However....Microsoft's explanation goes no further than to say that 3rod on the ring light means there's been a total hardware failure that can't be fixed by the user. We're sure there are a lots of other potential ways to get 3rod - abad system update or dropping it down the stairs, say

But console modders claim to have identified the most common cause of the hardware failure which results in the inexplicable and sudden 3rod and it's this: a critical fault related to the connections between the console's Main processor and its graphics processor, and the 360's mobo..

I try to explain to you a bit further if i have time, pls pm me...again the advice is why bother mod machine, get an unmod machine especially elite, then you will never ask this question as 1st place!

Playing online is optional. Since most of the [360]games has online functionality, it gives you replayability of the games after you've completed the game. Plus, there's a large community of XBOX Live! gamers here, so blending in the community is easy, and also getting games together.

But yes you gotta pay. Worth it or not is up to your own personal preference.

Wii.. only for it's control scheme. Graphics won't blow you away, but this console allows for new ways to play games, like actually swinging a golf club for a golf game.

As for PSP vs. NDS, you should check out this thread here and read up user testimonials.

- you should think of the library... what kinda games you would prefer....
***eg. sports,racing, action, RPG.... which is prefer...
- your budget...

i think this 2 can give you a decision...
