TVB Actress Bella Lam Benefited From BF Cheng Chun Hei’s JPEX Fraud Involvement?

Cheng Chun Hei was recently arrested due to his reported involvement in the JPEX fraud case but it seems his arrest has had far reaching consequences, especially for Bella Lam, as his arrest has sparked discussions about how he may have contributed to Bella’s recent flaunt of wealth.

Reportedly, actress Bella Lam had not been born in a wealthy family. She grew up without a father after he had an affair with another woman and her mother struggled to finance her and her sister in their early years. It wasn’t until Bella joined the entertainment scene that their lives started to improve.

However, netizens noted that Bella has recently been flaunting her wealth. Apparently, the 30-year-old actress has switched from dressing simply to showing off branded handbags such as CHANEL, CELINE, GUCCI and LV. This has led netizens to suspect the source of her riches was her alleged boyfriend, Cheng Chun Hei, whom she met when they filmed together.

Many were aware that they were good friends but, Hong Kong media recently received a tip claiming Bella and Chun Hei had been lovers for one to two years. Another source from the entertainment industry has reportedly corroborated the info, saying: “Bella Lam dated him because he is from a good family. One of my colleagues dated her before (and) Bella’smom values this criteria.”

In fact, earlier this year, the duo were arrested after they and several others got into a dispute with a doctor and a social worker over visiting a hospitalised girl who had been abused. Chun Hei and Bella’s request to visit the girl had apparently been refused as the child had been under a protection order. Police had reportedly detained them over disorderly conduct in public.

Well, Chun Hei was arrested again yesterday (4th October) for the ongoing JPEX fraud case investigation. Police also reportedly confiscated a white electric Porsche worth HK$1.8 million (~RM1.08 million), allegedly bought with proceeds from his crimes, which has only fueled rumours regarding Bella’s recent show of wealth.
