Dear all solar sifu here, need your advice.
My house has single-phase power with an average TNB bill of RM300+ per month. Currently, I have received 3 solar system proposals as summarised below:
1. JA panel 590Wp (N-type panel) + Solis 1P5k inverter - system size 6.49kWp (11 panels) - RM 20k
2. Longi panel 580Wp (P-type panel) + Solis 1P5k inverter - system size 6.38kWp (11 panels) - RM21k
3. Trina panel 600w (N-type panel) + Hoymiles microinverter x 3 - system size 7.2kWp (12 panels) - RM22.5k
Is the system setup good for a single phase? Are there any other factors to consider before deciding which one to go? The TNB contract mentioned for a single phase the solar output should not exceed 5kW so the extra kW installed will be a waste?

QUOTE(adamw @ May 5 2024, 01:05 AM) Seems options 3 is the best of the 3 but asked them to give the 4 units Hoymiles model no first. The Hoymiles model is HMS-2000-4T This post has been edited by stgoh: May 5 2024, 10:01 AM

QUOTE(adamw @ May 5 2024, 10:34 AM) Something does not seems right, 4x2000W=8kW inverter power, it's over the SEDA 5kWac limit for single phase, can approved? I requested for 6kW also my RPVSP won't submit for me It is actually microinverter x 3, typo in my earlier msg This post has been edited by stgoh: May 5 2024, 11:22 AM

Is it common that the wiring not concealed under the solar panel? Will the wiring damage under direct sunlight?
