recently announced rm1k rebate for each 1kwp solat NEM 3.0 applied and installed...from 1 April 2024 till 31 Mac 2025..

anybody got any concrete / promo info from solar provider...

if let say 4kwp system, rm18k..if rebate 4k = RM14k only..not bad..

I wasn't aware that PG offers string inverter too.
Compare with PG microinverter, what is the price difference?
*
looking for basic 4kwp / 5kwp system..if anybody got quoted before..pls kindly share..

i asked PG, they didnt offer string inverter already..only microinverter..

so for basic system, better go string for easier maintenance or microinverter also ok?

reading from the comments here..

Knowing that solar companies pun all new, baru 2-3 tahun ni boom..

wondering what will happen tu us, consumer who has 5 years, or 10 years/15 years warranty..

IF the supplier company or worst still the Manufacturer bungkus..

OR even, slightest..ghosting / very bad customer service / poor response..

kena ready to panjat, check, clean n do simple trouble shooting sendiri nampaknya..

850kW for June on 8.05kWp? What’s your inverter size?

I did 865kW for June… 6.8kWp on a 5kW inverter. Wow I am very very very very happy with my system’s performance… all the homework I did paid off!

June is my best month this year.
*
can u share ur setup..wondering what mine can be improved..

mine is 6.15kWp on 5kW inverter also, max achieved so far june n july 581kW..daily max around 24-25kW only..
roof facing south, using huawei sun2000-5ktl-m1..single orientation..10 panels..

If export > import, revert back to what I comment about import = export. No difference.

If import > export, will save more.
*
so now, if panel overcapacity..export> import..need to pay a bit..

if undercapacity, import > export.. pay less..since got EEI..

if equal..bill = 0..

lebih kurg betul ka...haha

major issue here is pelarasan Energy Efficiency Incentives (EEI)
for those using below 1000kwh, if using NEM 3.0..these rebate is not applicable and will makan our NEM Credit, hence need bigger export to offset the import..and longer for ROI...

this is unfair, as for normal lower capacity user, let say i use only 500kwh, after minus direct solar use..this import value shud have EEI for all across the board..irregardless of the NEM/SOLAR whatsoever extra the user has..

It is like if <1000kwh..rugi if import = export..as there is no EEI..if import > export..the extras usage will be deducted with EEI..although ya minimal..

for >1000kwh per month user, this is not the case but sales tax come in..>1500kwh user got higher tariff more 10cents..although there is minus from AFA, but very small..negligible..

the incentive is to encourage to use less electricity, not alot more.
for solar user, you should use the most of electricity during the time you generate it, not during the night time where most electricity came from coal, gas or oil.
*
masalahnya bro..

our usage remain the same..we even can reduce some more..and we still invest extra more for SOLAR..but yet kita kena cantas juga..

but the tariff n EEI structure is made so that..

- can reduce a bit bill for those use sikit ie <600kwh dan some more if lower usage

- can reduce minimal for average user <1000kwh

- will charge more for heavy user > 1000 and 1500kwh..

why on earth bagi EEI on low user but then tarik balik ie pelarasan..really pandai those who create this as creative billing structure..

the pelarasan EEI will tarik our NEM credit hence the ROI..damnnn

how i understand so far:

for user below 1000kwh, solar system 9 kwp or lower ie generation below 1000kwh..

if import = export, or import < export..no extra cost in bill, but export value/average electric rate lower than previous tariff..

if import > export, the extra kwh is entitled for EEI, so the overall cost per kwh will be lower..hence more worth..

so? this will encourages more usage lol..if we aim for lower overall cost per kwh..in range of around 600 to below 1000kwh..

need to use EV - jimat kos minyak and can get lower rate electric for charging haha..

but need to control usage below 1000kwh import, better if below 600kwh..

Let Say system 6.15kwp, this is based on my consumption in 2 months..
Generation - 650 kwh
Selco - 250 kwh (try charging at noon)
Export - 400 kwh
usage total household - 500 + ev charging 300 = 800, so minus selco, 800-250=Import = 550
for EEI, I - E = 550 - 400 = 150, eligible for -10.5 ct/kwh
Bil = RM66.645-15.75=rm50.90

If can maximise selco, charging more at noon
Selco - 350 (150 household use, 200kwh for ev)
Export - 300
Import = 800-350=450
EEI = 450-300 = 150 x -14.5 ct (better rate) = 21.75
Hence bill = 66.645-31.50 = RM44.895

See...cheaper bill, cheaper rate but same consumption n same solar system..

*edited the rate

To further inform. For the three phase inverters. 10kw peak solar production.... Each phase only gets 3.3kw. therefore when single phase EV chargers... Only get 3.3kw of selco.
I also limit my 7kw charger to 4-5kw.
*
at peak 5kw from 1pm to 4pm..at most how much can charge per single phase..3.3kw x 4 sun hours..max 12 kwh only?

so impossible to maximise selco for noon ev charging?
need to set timer at charger and charge alternately with ice car/motor for pegi kerja..

haha payah juga..

not following all the solar thingy.

so conclusion now is. tnb literally backstabbing all solar user?
because planning to get a BEV soon.
mean my current 300kw (without AC and that EV) usage not worth on solar previously, now it lagi not worth?
*
with or not with EV charging..

it is still worth it, especially for >1000kwh user..or more for >1500kwh user

for lower user, especially <600 kwh it seems to be not worth it, as u can get EEI and lower bill without solar..
but, let s wait untill tariff/afa increase +ve or dun know wat in the future..maybe we nem user will benefited more lol...

nem 3.0 n previous nem user is complaining because ROI was calculated differently before and the new tarif structure is unprecedented..hence
solar system capacity vs usage vs new tarif went haywire thus need careful look/calculation..

anyhow for new solar system, need to wait for new scheme and industry will readjust market offering before we can see what future holds for solar..untill then bayar bill to tnb mcm biasa la horr..
