QUOTE(bee88 @ Jun 11 2024, 12:57 PM) There are many companies now. Mostly are just established few years ago. This company is one of the solar companies under our company's EPP program. Just wanted to see if anyone has experience with them.If in doubt, always check the ssm for reg date. Choose those with longer history. Also try to understand the nature of the business. Some companies venture into solar and their core business is different. They could be established way earlier but their solar experience is short. |

QUOTE(cdspins @ Jun 11 2024, 02:40 PM) Yup this is a very good advise. There is just too many company doing solar now. Other than GSPARX, any other companies with good reputations? If you checked the responses in Google Review, GSPARX isn't that impressive. There are many that have close shop or change hand/ change name. Mind you that all the warranties is tie up to the installer company. So if the company no longer exist, so is your 10 years inverters warranty or 25 years solar performance warranty. It all boils down to one's risk appetite. Besides, solar panels and inverters rarely spoil. So if you are one of those that must get all warranty... then GSPARX (TnB subsidiary) is one of the better option. If you do a lot of homework, then can choose those established solar company as well with more than 5 years in operation. A google on their facebook pages or hashtag or customer review will show about when they start their business If you are ok that solar system last as long as you can get ROI in about 5 years, then the cheapest will do and usually this are the new companies. Because it it ain't broke in the first few months, it probably gonna last a few years at least. |

Has anyone converted from single-phase to 3-phase? Just checked with an electrician. I was told it's a messy job since the incoming wires can no longer be concealed. All the DBs have to update to 3-phase too.

QUOTE(cdspins @ Jun 18 2024, 04:04 PM) Yup usually do it during house renovation project will be better. But it doesn't mean it will be messy, it all depends on the layout and cable running of your current wires. Basically need to run new wires from meter to distribution box. If it is 2 story house, then have distribution box in first floor and second floor, so need to run the wires from 1st distribution box to the second. We are staying there. Conceal definitely is a no-no, the dust will kill all of us.So you can check if you current wire layout possible to conceal them. Looks like there is no chance to upgrade to 3-phase then. |

QUOTE(cdspins @ Jun 19 2024, 10:28 AM) Not necessary need to conceal all right? some part maybe put into trunking while some can be inside false ceiling, or hide under stairway, etc. The max allowable for a single phase is only 7.2kwp. That is equivalent to roughly RM300++ of electricity usage. My current usage is already RM200 with only 1 AC on at night. I'm planning to turn on 3 AC at night in the future after solar installation and another 1 to 2 AC in the morning. I don't think RM300+ can cover the usage. Correct me if I am wrong. But anyway, what is the purpose to go to 3 phase? Your current usage is more than 50A and often trip the circuit? |

QUOTE(bee88 @ Mar 2 2025, 09:06 AM) If installation in June, then no point. You will miss the Solaris rebate unless they extend. Currently it ends in April. Nem continues as usual. Probably I didn’t mention it clear enough. Should be the whole process starting from now but completed in June. Still entitled for the RM4K rebate? |

QUOTE(adamw @ Mar 24 2025, 05:43 PM) Yes, PG.QUOTE(mac_mac21 @ Mar 24 2025, 05:48 PM) Haven't installed. This info is from SEDA. Could you please elaborate further? Thanks. The thing I'm not happy is because of, if I paid for a MyVI. I expect a MyVi, not Axia for the price of MyVi. |

QUOTE(mac_mac21 @ Mar 24 2025, 06:00 PM) Then just forward the info to your sales representative and have the info update in SEDA Already forwarded earlier when I noticed the discrepancy. When installation day come , check everything according to your quotation letter No longer received updates and reply after submitting documents. Now, I'm doubting if I'm committing to the right contractor. |

QUOTE(skywardsword @ Apr 11 2025, 09:01 AM) Yes it is high. 6 hours full sun. Yesterday was great. Mine is 12 KW inverter with 76kwh produced yesterday. Got it, bro. Today for sure disappointing. Average is usually 50kwh. Which is 4hours of full sun. Edit. Do not expect it to be always so high. Or you will be disappointed. QUOTE(adamw @ Apr 11 2025, 09:39 AM) Yes, Northern. |
