Guys
Got a quote for verdant They claim single phase not allow 12 panel instead only 10 panel. If other able to install 12 panel then it’ll be risk to owners. If any further action from TNB they will not take the responsibility. Because the NEM certificate only will show 5kWac. Any guidance |

QUOTE(bee88 @ Jan 9 2025, 10:29 PM) Per their quote they are using 610w panel x 11 generating only 671kwpQUOTE(Genosyde @ Jan 9 2025, 11:05 PM) kWp or kilowatt peak refers to the capacity of the panels. NotedkWac refers to the capacity of the inverter. I have a 6.44 kWp system on single phase consisting of 11 585W panels paired with a 5 kWac inverter. Though 750W panels do exist, it is unlikely the installer is using those. Most likely it has something to do with the sizing based on your electricity bill. While you can go as high as 7.5 kWp for the panels, the amount of power that can be exported to the grid is limited by the 5 kWac inverter. During peak hours, some power is wasted because the inverter can't export it. This is called clipping. While some clipping is acceptable, too much clipping is wasteful and thus lengthens your ROI period. |

QUOTE(bleeper @ Jan 14 2025, 12:27 PM) 5kw Huawei inverter. So if it's showing active power generated by my panels is above 5kw (i.e 6kw), then 5kw will be exported to grid and remaining is considered lost energy? QUOTE(mac_mac21 @ Jan 14 2025, 01:23 PM) Think it’s called clipping |

QUOTE(mac_mac21 @ Jan 14 2025, 01:36 PM) so Hms 2000 micro inverter only can convert 2kw max DC to AC? No point max tnb will accept is 5kvac if not mistakenMeans need to add 1 more unit to maximize 7.38kw? QUOTE(sgpdsmss @ Jan 14 2025, 02:07 PM) no wor....ha..ha Doubt so unless u charge ev during daytime to prevent “clipping” if I’m not mistakenNEM Cert declared max 5kwac meaning max can export to tnb only 5kwac? my panels production extra 1.xxkwp may carry forward to next month ?
