Full month January with solar



Solar apps reported 1063.95 kWh generated, TNB bill Baki NEM is 27kWh

I reckon I actually use much more during the day, but due to my EV and wallbox charger both is single phase, it still pulls more from grid rather than from the 3 phase solar inverter. Have to rely on the solar export to counter it.

If not my bill would go below 600kWh and not being charged SST and negative 2 cents ICPT

Mine 10.2kwp micro yesterday got 52.3kWh

But hot season means almost whole day on aircon lah, not much export back to grid

In February 2025, I have excess 266kWh saved into my NEM balance.

In March 2025. My solar app on my phone reports that the panels generated 1197kWh for the whole month of March,

TNB bill reports that I have 950kWh imported from the grid, and have exported 711kWh worth of solar back to the grid.

My NEM balance for March 2025 is now 27kWh.

Question is, how much of my usage was directly from Solar, and what is my total energy usage for the month?

ChatGPT and Deepseek says my direct solar consumption is 725kWh and my total energy use for the month is 1675kWh

Grok AI says my direct solar consumption is 486kWh and total energy use for the month is 1436 kWh.


So... Which one is correct?

Starting to have problems with one of my SAJ inverters, it keeps getting disconnected from the internet by 9am-10am and resumes back later in the day



I can see that the inverter is still working as usual if I manually connect it to bluetooth




It says the communication module is working but it somehow fails to connect to the SAJ servers. But if servers is the issue, why other inverter can connect but this particular one doesnt?

This month my 10.2kWp system is quite weak. Generally 35± kWh only. Except for 8th April got 51kWh

This month production quite bad. Doubt can hit 1000kWh like previous months

How to they determine how much of a performance drop then only can send someone to clean? They can just say the sun intensity is not strong enough.

May production very bad.. all these while my bill never exceed rm25, may bill suddenly almost rm80

Super hot whole day and night yet not much sunlight for the solar panel to be effective. Solar app reported 1065kWh production for May

Last month I even had 170kWh of baki NEM



I wonder if this chatgpt report is correct based on what I fed info?

Wait if 1452kWh then its almost the same as March usage, but that one bill was only RM25. Have to recheck back previous posts why its so different than May, times like this lah other inverter brands that can report total usage is quite useful..

March: bill RM25.20

Solar production : 1197kWh
Imported from grid : 950kWh
Exported to grid : 711kWh





May: bill RM78.95

Solar production : 1065kWh
Imported from grid: 1087kWh
Exported to grid : 70kWh

Simple concept yes, but more technical not really. Most of the consumption is during the day.

Since most of my usage is charging my EV car, my house and solar setup is all 3 phase setup, however my EV car is only single phase.

So even during the day, the amount of power my solar is getting is pumped into my car at only 1 of the phases, and exports the excess solar for the 2 other phases back to the grid

This also means later they *can* simply change the tariff to energy tariff 1cents only, but capacity/network fees over 50c/kWh as they like

Steadily increasing these past 2 months, it gets worst after baki NEM is all used up
