On heavy import usage month, I would just power off my 2 chest freezers in the evening and power on them back in the morning.

At times uses washing machine and dish washer during day time instead of at night.

So far so good, been avoiding the ICPT charges ever since.

Anyone knows what this TNB message means? Cannot access anymore?

"Why I can’t view my Daily Energy Usage?
Your daily energy usage is currently unavailable because the calculation for
commercial / special tariff / NEM is not included in the system.

For accurate and finalised charge and consumption details,
we recommend selecting “View Bill" on the home screen."

frankly if you are seeing 10 years to reach roi, you might as well place your money in EPF or ASNB.
*
Got 0 interest installment plan to almost match your monthly TNB usage. So instead of paying TNB 600,you probably pay 100 then 500 to your installment.

lol, then wat is the point, you are still paying 600 each month. After 10 years, yes you get the solar panels + inverter, but by that time, most likely you will need to start replacing them.
*
. . . Solar can last 20 years or more, ada warranty boss .......

Inverter usually last for only 10 years times, Huawei or other better brand maybe can last longer, but it also come with cost.
*

Selco on normal non rainy months can work.

Whole month rain... Continuos 3-4days less than your AVG solar generation...means no power for those periods. Cry loh.
*
Still have 11 months or 3++ days mah .....haha

My workplace got 6 SMA inveters installed in Nov-Dec 2019. One fail in June and another one in July this year.

Lucky the whole system is zero capex and contarct duration 21 years. For owners with outright purchase need to have spare money in case the inverter fails after warranty period.
*
That's why got la 15 years warranty ..... users don't be cheapskate and complain banyak

600kWh only 250++ per month la. Where got kena slaughter? For average Malaysian home you will only hit this number if you have aircond running every day and from night to morning. If only few hours per day and using Inverter aircond will be around 150++.

To reach 1000kWh, you need aircond running both day and night lol.
*
3 storey bungalow will reach 1500kwh effortless-ly, with 6-7 aircond night use ........ lol

Those that can afford to live in one is T1 level already. 3-4K per month TNB bill is nothing for them lol.

I've reached 1000kWh twice this year. Bill close to 500. Nomal usage only 250-300.
*
That's why must install solar system ..... even at 1499kwh, will still pay around 300+-
Else you will be paying 800-900 jor

Hi guys, sorry, posted before but didn’t manage to install solar as something came up last minute.

Bill is pretty high lately, RM1200-1400, 3 phase 3 storey house, so I think it’s the right time to finally get it?

Roof is inverter V shape with pretty good space available. What should I go for in terms of brand / inverter / etc?
*
The moment my bill hits 900-1000 already I sub to NEM3.0 that was 4.5 year ago. No regret at all.

Only solar haters have twisted minds to bs how bad solar PV and EV are .....

wait until warranty over... and you gona pray hard that your cabling and inverter is still working well  biggrin.gif
a friend of mine.. install during the first batch NEW... has replace inverter twice and he told me.. what ever gain now return back to seller  cry.gif
i myself install... since my inverter come with 12 years... i just can hope.. the company survive  laugh.gif
*
Warranty PV 20 years, inverter 10 years, apa lagi lu mau.

Your friend all no warranty meh? Kesian .... NEM 1.0 sure la doesn't last long ....
Cable also got problem? Or just assuming .....

That's why invest abit more for the inverter la dei ...... If rosak after 10 years buy new one.. wouldn't cost you a bomb ma.

5 years free electric sudah around RM42k ..... then another 10 years 84k profit....

Some company like mine warranty claim no charge BUT labour to dismantle and change got charge.
Also many worried in solar company close shop, who gonna respond to the warranty claim.

So it is nice to get long warranty but the problem is the company handling the warranty sure got labour charge especially if need skylift and most importantly, if company close shop, who gonna handle the warranty claim. Many company no want to handle warranty claim that was installed by other company not related to theirs.

Solar panels also need maintenance once in a while, the cost do adds up but depends on usage, for me, either break even after 10 years or will earn a couple of years of free solar. Better than no solar especially since daytime, my parent also use air cond, the solar daytime generation contra that. Worth it.

Also warranty for PV if spoil but does not cover degradation over the years, sure the performance will drop.
*
As long as the company exist, no problems no worries. So be smart gets a good one.
How often do you think you need skylift to maintenance your PV if no repair needed?

Solar panels do need washing if your area is dusty, else rain water is good enough ... like mine.
Normally PV will degrade slightly over the year, probably down to 80-85% after 20 years but good enough for me.

Mine ROI done in 4Y3M only..... so probably another 15-20 years FREE electricity.

yeah, manufacturer and reseller also give bullshit claim too, dont worry your equipment are warrantied for 20years and such, solar panel degrade little only per year, your inverter last long2 (hahahahaha)

remember steel water pipe that people claim can last 50 years? yeahhhh less than 20 years dah berlubang. manufacturer claim nimh battery can last 2100cycle, mine less than 100 cycle dah kaput. this alkaline battery said should last 10 years, but why it is leaking in 5 years?, lithium battery have 500 charge cycle with 70% capacity remain, while mine(mostly plugged in) no longer holding charge despite having BMS making sure it will not overcharge. oh phone battery can go 900cycle will have 80% battery health remain, mine less than 600cycle already 81% battery health remain despite i only charge up to 90% most of the time, not even quick charge. oh lifepo4 have 3000-5000cycle, yeah2 sure2 we can trust that.

whatever it is i dont give a fark about manufacturer claim (or even so called neutral third party research claim). if i need it, then i buy it. if it breaks, please make sure part replacement is available for long period of time.
You takut & tak suka not my problems la wei .... don't have to convince others ...

I am already passed my ROI, happy & no worries ... now can even charge my EV for FREE ....& my electricity almost FREE.

A passive person will always view negatively on everything around them. Don't worry be happy as the song goes.

Yes, that might be the idea especially for NEM 1.0, NEM 2.0 users. It gives a sort of direction and roadmap of what to do with out solar panels (besides direct usage using daytime) after NEM ended. That is if the govt does not stop ATAP when our NEM ended. Very hard to say with the current TnB and Govt.
*
My NEM 3.0 is 4.5 years old, maybe another couple of years can masuk ATAP wo.....
Or SELCO after 10 years end.
