They learn Malay just for fun and probably hobby/interest also can be fluent.

Ironically, the ones born and raised in Malaysia also acah geli geli with Malay language... regardless of the race.

I'm fluent in Malay my friend but at the end of the day I'm still a second class citizen

I’m one of the very few who really, really wish ALL who are born and raised here be treated equally, but alas, I am the minority among the majority.

Sangat setuju. Zaman sekarang mak ayah berbangsa Melayu lebih suka mengajar anak2 bercakap "broken English" daripada bahasa melayu. Kesudahannya, English pon macam sampah, BM pon tak reti.

Rasa gatal je mulut nak betulkan "broken English" mak ayah & anak2 hipster zaman sekarang.

Paling cringe Malays doing Speak BM challenge walhal makan french fries dengan chili sauce gak.
