Bahasa melayu is the easiest to learn of all languages out there.

Just that certain new words are awkward to pronounce, even for me.

They learn Malay just for fun and probably hobby/interest also can be fluent.

Ironically, the ones born and raised in Malaysia also acah geli geli with Malay language... regardless of the race.

We are quick to tumpang glamer when BM (or Malay culture) being promoted all over the world by other more liberal countries with their people also liberal enough to be curious and learn more if given chance. Gawd even an caucasians* vlogger shooting himself mingling with locals/eating nasi lemak/wear baju Melayu also caused us to feel proud.

This CN lady probably is tasked to cover news based on MY/ Indo region to be reported backin CN market.

On the prerequisite of knowing a certain language to survive, that is totally wrong. Because Deaf and Mute would not have any place at all in the world if this was true.

In CN, they do not need to learn any other language because they have everything they need and want locally there. They just hire the Ah Moi in video to be the bridge between countries if needed.

If you are a youtuber with some proficiency at a few languages, then you make content based on that ability.

As somebody who speaks English and also abit of German, THIS. There's no gendered nouns like European languages, no weird change for tenses, uses roman alphabets with consistent pronounciation rules, etc.

Good example:
Dia (he/she) balik.
Mereka (they) balik.

Past tense? add 'telah / sudah' before verb. No other changes.
Future? add 'akan' before verb. No other changes
Special names? Simply change 'dia' with whatever name, no other changes.

Structurally, the language is super consistent.
