I used to have this condition few years back then, and no matter how i kill, it just grows.

Until one day i buy RM4 cockcroach killer spray can from MRDIY, and wait until midnight (usually they will party after night time around 10-5am)
I spray 1/3 can of it aimming at the floor mat and the spots they usually hidden and wait until next day morning

boooooomb, all dead.


And i cleaned up everything inside the cabin, the leather, dettol wash etc to make it perfect, it was cockcoachless until today.

Lol, how cockroach grt in your car in the first place? Do you transport food equipment or old junk often?

Just spray land mine cockroach killer, can last for few weeks, but only suitable if you don't have children and pets in the car during those period, because really poisonous.

most impt. dont eat or leave food in car. no food no cockroach. I seen when they make nest, my hair (whats left) still stand when I think about it.

spray n leave overnite works but find n remove dead bodies can be challenge.

just park under hot sun.

If you want to trap them at night, put a cup of leftover used oil and they will drown by themselves.

If it is female cockroach, you want to kill it ASAP before it multiplies and make the car its new home.

park the car under the sun for more effect, spray those ridsect on the car carpet(avoid spraying on glass with solar film installed) or leather as chemical might react on it

after few hours you will see every insects etc that live inside your car already dead

The next day u will see them all stick on the glue trap or literally dead nearby....

pandan leaves can prevent them but u won't know if they got nest near the dashboard area


Anyhow, you need to go to those interior cleaning once to vacuum all to prevent any corpse in the car. Make sure not to eat in the car and don't park near longkang or trash bin....

my DIY is, i use cellophane tape (really sticky ones) and and lay it down on the floor with the sticky side facing up. put a few bits of sugar on it and leave overnight or two.

dont use those masking tape of transparent ones. Use those duct tape (red/black/blue/etc color)

but if u see an infestation, better send to shop and do fogging

Check the cockroach life cycle and how long for the eggs to hatch - Spray daily that amount of time - that might might kill the whole cycle of cockroaches.

You can try to use "diatomaceous earth" powder. Get food grade variety so its safe if you breathe some of it in.

Sprinkle all over your car surfaces where you've seen the roach walk, as long as the roach walks across it, it will eventually die. It works against most insects, so leave it for the duration of cockroach lifecycle incase got eggs in the car.

Another way is to make cockroach bait using boric acid mixed with something cockroach like to eat. This is highly effective as well, but the bait is toxic, so not an option if you have kids/pets.

I use this from Shopee or Lazada. Just leave overnight inside car. Next morning prepare vacuum to pick up dead cockroaches

Buy a small can of insecticide spray and punch a hole. Throw the can inside the car and close all the doors. After 30 mins or so, open the doors and air out.

By now, everything probably dead including rats or small pets.

Use cockroach spray as suggested by other forumer. Bait no use one. Need to go nuclear.

After u are done send your car to deep clean. The 1 where they remove and clean the car seat etc.
