Modem suddenly broken on March 2023 and I plan to switch Maxis because Unifi can't do further upgrade, call TM100 to check, they say will try to fix it but if still cannot then they will send technician to my house with a charge of RM50+. Next day the technician came and replace a new modem for us, he then insist us to get the new telephone as he say our telephone is broken. We keep say no need to replace because we no longer using it, he insist and saying "its free anyway" then die die install beside our router. After 1 week I switch to Maxis, everything went smooth then we go Unifi centre do termination. Officer reject our termination saying that our telephone is renewed so the contract is renewed as well. We have to pay RM500 for it. I am so mad that TM100 and the technician never mention any of this to me at all. Report to mcmc and months later receive a call from Unifi ask me about how that technician looks like, i totally cant recall his face anymore then Unifi tell me they will try to check it but still I have to pay Rm200 for the previous charge. So after i pay Rm200 previous bill I receive Rm500 early termination bill. I report to MCMC again then Unifi respond that I change the Modem which will renew the contract. I was so mad that Unifi can suddenly change the reason cause and charge me early termination again. So wanna ask, beside MCMC what platform can complain or any other way to solve this issue?

No need, just report MCMC again, that they renew the contract without your consent, you didn't sign anything or thumbprint anything right?

also, there are also slightly mistake from your side as well.
you should terminate or migrate your existing line to Maxis BUT NOT apply a new line. The person who try to sell you Maxis Broadband should be aware of this matter as well.

I think unifi has always been like that, they will change for free if you take their free devices

Very convenient for people who are not switching out, my grandmother has called for countless replacements over the years. All free.

I am unsure on the terms of the phone

However, the modem is TM property, they will replace for free if it fails
The contract should not have been reset due to the modem being replaced
However, do not confuse modem and router
If the router is indeed replaced, that does come with a contract reset

Ya i know difference in between because my router is asus 1, but early arguement they say I replace the telephone (actually insist by the technician) so the contract is renew but now they say because i replace the modem pulak, doesnt make sense at all

From: nowhere

Just do not pay terminate fee and let it be while pending resolution from mcmc/cfm

Not like not paying will affect any credit score anyway
