QUOTE(kkm @ Jan 4 2008, 02:19 PM) Memory World are at SLS #04-12, along one of the back alleys. I walked all the valley at 4th floor. cant find it. Maybe I missed 1 alley lor.5100 is cylindrical, more stylish and looks nicer. I prefered the block-shaped 4100, about SGD100 cheaper and easier to stack, especially with my portable harddisk. Functions are the same. btw, confirmed at Sim Lim bcoz I was getting this flyer with it's address and dvico picture. |

Another question.
I am looking at 4100 and 5100. Both around RM1500. What about 4000 and 5000 model? The price is about RM900. I want to know any significant different ? (Beside the HDMI) |

QUOTE(kkm @ Jan 16 2008, 06:12 PM) The 4000/5000 use an older chipset (Sigma 8621 vs 8623), so lesser capabilities in terms of HD file types. If you are just on divx or avi type files, no practical difference... Thanks. And I don't really fancy on HD files. I do sometime play the HD avi files but rarely.(I stand ready to be corrected.) Added on January 16, 2008, 6:13 pmPlus there is normally a price delta of about rm200 between the 4100 and 5100... Anyone want to sell theirs for upgrade? |

Dvico site added the new comparison table.
I can see the clear different for 4100 vs 4000 series beside the obvious chipset and HDMI port. 1. HDMI (v1.1) up to 1080p 2. H.264 HD AVI 3. H.264 Transport Stream 4. H/W JPEG (High Resolution) 5. Data Copy & Move in TViX HDD 6. Data Copy & Move on Network Drive 7. Data Copy & Move with External HDD Drive Can anyone explain on point 5/6/7 ? Thanks. |
