Slightly OT, but does anyone here have any idea where I can get the PH A-110 locally (preferably in Klang Valley).
Local agent (Palvision) says still awaiting SIRIM approval and tried to sell me A-100, and ordering it online runs the risk of Customs difficulties... |

QUOTE(ar188 @ Mar 6 2009, 06:49 PM) nope, different spelling. Man, you are hilarious!! anyway,.. no it's not.. one is downmix the other is pass through .. so different function.. Actually, downmix means the DTS is converted, usually to stereo analog, so the audio can then be played back directly on the TV. Passthru means the the DTS signal is literally passed thru the HDMI connection into the AV decoder. In this case, no stereo downmixing is done. Most of the NMT's do passthru, so far only the A-110 (and the Tvix boxes) do downmix. |

Hey friend, looks like you may have your Streamyx wrongly set up by TM (good for you!).
100 kBps is (very) approximately 800 kbps. Your service is 512 kbps, no? Oh yeah the dvico tvix rocks QUOTE(ozak @ Mar 17 2009, 04:27 PM) No worry. I ve been BT using maxis for 1 1/2yrs liau. Go to hadware or network secttion and search for NAS thread. Or ask denhock sifu. He is the one who guide me the setting. Average utorrent on my pc is 90-100kBps compare NAS 85-95kBps with 512kb line. Sorry rx330. Way out of topic. |

QUOTE(arremie @ May 26 2009, 10:48 AM) Why everybody looking for 6500A? Is 7000A not good? The price different is not that much. I might be getting this instead of BDP coz I saw demo of WDTV and I'm really impressed with the PQ n SQ. Haiya read the thread! The 6500 and 7000 just have different form factors. The 6500 is a small conventional square box, good for fitting inside your hifi rack or inconspicuously on top. The 7000 is a stylish metallic shiny cylinder, meant to draw attention and admiring glances and questions ("what's that good-looking box there?"). Other than that, they are the same |

QUOTE(hsiengloong @ Sep 3 2009, 10:39 AM) Hi i need help on my following Dvico 6500 setup.. Do you plan to use the old PC for anything? If not, why not just buy a cheap external HD casing (or better still, an external dock) and connect via USB?I plan to get an old PC to store all my movies inside it. Then connect the PC to the Dvico using a network (RJ45) cable. My question is, can my Dvico detect the movies inside my PC's hdd? It's some sort of a NAS function but instead of connecting my PC to a network, i connect it straight to my PC. Appreciate any help or advice. Thanks Added on September 3, 2009, 12:02 pmAnyone can help? |
