Really? I helped 2 friends migrate from android to ios some months back - the whatsapp move was painless.

Vivo midranger to ip13.
Samsung s20fe to ip14.

Weird. Cabled migration, right? My friend's S20FE had like 60GB of WhatsApp stuff. Took maybe 3 to 5 hours, IIRC.

Edit: Sorry, can't recall if the cabling was phone to phone or both phones were connected to their respective chargers.

Can't. I have all my client messages there need to tally to the respective message. It's the reason why I'm running two phones still. If you can show me the solution I'll appreciate it.

good luck retry again and again. the backup feature probably not tested for heavy-users like you.
my best bet get some paid app that might be able to help you. but i doubt it will help if you are moving to different OS platform.

I don't even backup my previous chats on Whatsapp. Since my job didn't required on heavy whatsapp usage and most of the photos are considered trash after I have done my tasks.

Other than that, some of the important photos from whatsapp I already backup on Google Cloud or One Drive.
