yaa i should measure my casing first sweat.gif
btw, here is a short review of Cooler Master Hyper 212 rclxm9.gif

user posted image

I bought it together with Tuniq TX-2 and additional 120mm silent fan to pair it with the cooler wub.gif

user posted image

Look at the size compare to Intel's tiny stock HSF flex.gif

user posted image

after installed another 120mm fan to its back thumbup.gif this should maximize its cooling performance.

user posted image

and the test setup will be:
Abit IP35-E
Intel Duo Core E2160 @ stock 1.8Ghz and @ 3.0ghz smile.gif

the results: (mind that the results is based on Hyper212 with 2 fans)

@ 1.8ghz
stock cooler - idle 33'C - load 51'C
Hyper212 - idle 24'C- load 36'C brows.gif

@ 3.0ghz (334x9)
stock cooler - idle 34'C - load 68'C
Hyper212 - idle 25'C - load 48'C brows.gif

Conclusion: I would say this CM Hyper 212 is really awesome for a budget cooler! thumbup.gif for a price below than RM140, the performance is on par with much high price and other brand of 3rd party cpu cooler nod.gif And it is better than Artic Cooling Frezeer 7 too whistling.gif
Only the drawback is the installation is veeeery fuzzy and some casing won't fit this monster sweat.gif cry.gif

add: forget to tell about its noise. Even with 2x 120mm fans, my ceiling fan is much more noisier than this laugh.gif

cm690 got no mobo tray, so i think it will fit nicely. The problem with my casing is the mobo tray align is too far in the center. And cm690 is alot more bigger than my Praetorian. sad.gif huhu.. i think i have to look for a new case now.

Added on March 9, 2008, 3:14 amcm hyper 212 does fit mid towers. you should place two fans and make it push pull, it gives you super results.
