Hi all, just wondering is there anywhere in Malaysia worth travelling to for cheap seafood? Just came back from Bangkok and the seafood there is so cheap. Now looking to travel locally for cheap seafood.

Anyone got any places to recommend?

I also heard from someone that Tanjung Tualang has some pretty cheap seafood. Maybe I will go there n take a look, might drop by ipoh too.

Went to pulau ketam, I think the price there might be more expensive or about the same in Klang. Maybe it's because I don't have any friend there and maybe I look like a tourist 🤔

they recognize each other one la, like my friend. go everywhere also got people greeting one, like wah so long didn't come back and etc. even you look like them but they didn't recognize you will just treat you like tourist nia

More like asking if the price is ok nowadays. BTW I think Teluk Gong is no longer that secluded and eat seafood right? Travelling a little is kind of a must I find certain seafood places in Kuala Selangor/Banting more secluded.

Do restaurants in Tanjung Tualang serve fresh water fish or sea water fish?

For fresh water fish, Sauk near Kuala Kangsar is another option.

You don't want cheap seafood, you want fresh.

Go to any nearby seafood restaurant where you can choose your own seafood, still swimming before cook.

The money you save from petrol/toll or plane ticket already made up the difference.

At Semporna last year a portion of 4 people got big grouper, live crabs, prawns with rice & drinks for less then RM100.
