Hi,
I had just inherited my late dad's house through his will. Have gone through the process of securing the grant of probate. However, I want to make this house a family owned house and want to add my siblings as named owners of the property. Is it posibble to do this?
Thanks.

Not sure if its a good idea go add multiple names to a house title, it can create alot of issues later on when your selling the house, or even renting it. The more influence is added to thr mix, the more trouble i see happening

While possible. not advisable. the more names on the property the more issue will arise in future.

Thanks. 1) Need to get a lawyer to do a new Memorandom of Transfer, to transfer the % of ownership you want to your siblings. 2) Transfers between siblings do not get any rebates, you must pay full stamp duty. 3) NOT RECOMMENDED TO SPLIT OWNERSHIP IF YOU ARE SOLE OWNER RIGHT NOW, FOR PRACTICALITY REASONS. If in the event something happens and the home needs to be sold or passed on inheritance, a single owner deciding to not proceed will block any action the others want to take.

'SELL' the house if you want to keep the property and you think your siblings deserved a share of it.
