And it is a "upgrade speed" for current plans, so even it is really got lower price, I guess, if u wanna that new "low" price of 30/50M plans, sure asking you to resign for another 2 years. doh.gif
It might also just last 2 years, just like B40 plan... sweat.gif
*
Don't worry about the two year contract.
By then there will be MSAP 2025 or SWU 4.0 or 5.0

No installation fee needed as internal wiring not needed.

Isn't the first X meter of internal cabling free?

Update: For anyone running 1/2Gbps TM Ultra package with D-Link DPN-FX3060V

Currently changed over to Bridged mode
and running OPNSense as my main router again.

So you got the router in default with how the installer installed it.

1) Go to setup tab > PON WAN > find Connection_0 on the interface (Namely PPPoE connection)
2) Go to Action - Edit, change protocol from PPPoE to Bridged, other settings you can either keep at default or change, such as QoS etc.
3) Connect LAN 1 to whichever router as WAN and set it up as PPPoE
4) Done, all your traffic is now through your own router rather than TM's D-Link

Note: Leave all the physical assignments and settings as is and don't change it to any mode. Just change from Connection type

All the firewall/port forwarding rules should be ignored on TM's own router and your own router should be taking care of all the forwarding.  rclxm9.gif

Is this TM device people have been saying that once set to bridged mode you can't log in anymore to change settings?

Six days till the end of September
This is it, the final stretch.

So if RM119 formerly 300Mbps with temporary 500Mbps upgrade is now getting permanent 500Mbps, how much is actual 300Mbps cost?

Cocking the gun now.
If come 1st October still no news then tembak away!

QUOTE(cyberic @ Sep 27 2023, 09:33 AM)
I was from 500 plan playing total RM232 monthly with unifi tv ultimate (addon 60). I moved to SWU 3.0 300mbps plan to get lower monthly payment (RM119). With the wind of so called expected price reduction for internet plan, I'm betting on Unifi to give speed upgrade instead price reduction that reduce the earning numbers for the corporate. So I'm betting that the so called 1 year free speed upgrade will remain after the announcement. If that is not happening, still a lot saving for me.  biggrin.gif
*
If you're a current subscriber I think will get speed upgrade.
Dunno if can reduce upgraded speed (at existing price) to original speed to save money
But for new subscribers I'm sure there will a re-pricing of all plans (maybe with speed boost to boot)

All the chatter here is seemingly all about SWU for the mid to high speed plans (300Mbps and above) and practically nothing about the lower plans.

Two more days till Friday.
I don't think they will make any announcement during weekends.

I prefer RM 69 100M, or 50M, at least new LOW PRICE, which benefit more B40. tongue.gif
*
Then they'd have to lower the Perpaduan price to match the overall lower prices.

Okay same like another one posted some pages before
So effectively just 100m, 500m and 800m in SWU plan

100m rm89

500m rm119

800m rm189

Add 60 for ultimate (new) pack (without Netflix)
*
That's a huge price gap between 500 and 800
Looks like TM wants to push the 300/500 plan
Anyone got any idea as to pricing for new subscribers?

I'm paying rm99 for 100Mbps from SWU 1, still under contract. Now 100Mbps for rm89, what can I do to get rm89? Anyone try before?
*
Check out 300Mbps@RM119
500Mbps upgrade for 24 months with six month fee waiver.
Thus you effectively only pay RM89/month for the 24 month contract and have 500Mbps

189 for 800 seems ridiculous since RM119 will get you 500 (300 plan with perpetual 500 upgrade)

the current prices on offer started in july.
TM publishes RAO in august.
so there is hope it's not MSAP-ed yet.
*
Since MSAP price came into effect 1st March 2023, TM already knows what the future cost will be.
And since they own HSBB they don't need the RAO to start offering new pricing ahead of competition.
So the new SWU prices is probably already reflecting the lowered cost of internet

Iinm, that limited time is referring to pricing. RM89 is limited offer. After the offer period is ended, it will go back to RM99. However, they do not explain how long is the offer period though...
*
So where is the cheaper price promised?
If you're already paying RM89 yesterday, you'd still be paying RM89 tomorrow.

For the current RM 89, sorry la, you should sign up 2 year SWU 3.0 300M>500M now.

New (would be) subscriber...
Was hoping for something like RM79 for 50Mbps

You misunderstood. Yes. You are paying RM89, for 24 months contract. But that offer is limited. Once the offer is gone, new customer will have to pay RM99 while those who got the limited offer before will still be paying RM89.
*
So the promise of lower prices mean RM10 more for the cheapest plan.
From RM89/month to RM99/month

Where's the savings?
