QUOTE(BenYeeHua @ Oct 5 2023, 09:05 AM) Yes, I have purchased ZenWifi AX XT8 and ZenWifi XT12 Pro for my homes, so the cost of the ONR router is not a major concern for me, as long as I am not under contract. I am simply curious to know the price.Does anyone know the cost of the ONR router set by Unifi? (Perhaps it is listed on the installation receipt for those who have already upgraded to 1 Gbps or above.) |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Oct 5 2023, 09:49 AM) Customers (those with the 800 Mbps plan to receive the 1 Gbps plan) will have two options for the equipment change: a 24-month contract or a one-off payment. For the one-off payment option, see the following image:![]() I have been told that the technician will ask you to return the old router, but not the BTU. Perhaps the BTU can still be used. QUOTE(pokemon @ Oct 5 2023, 10:17 AM) If we have better router eg. Asus can support 1Gbps, why we need to pay for the router for upgrading or 24 months contract? If it is not the ONR type, there is no need to change. But, if it is an ONR router, you have to ask the technician to set that ONR router in bridge mode so that we can still use our Asus router or Asus mesh system. |

QUOTE(sadlyfalways @ Oct 5 2023, 10:21 AM) Rip, no wonder delay Please ask the technician to set the ISP's ONR router to bridge mode instead of router mode. If the ONR router is set to router mode, it will cause a double-NAT issue with your second router. In bridge mode, all traffic from the ONR router will simply pass through to the secondary router.Does anyone know if we can set the dlink UNIFI ultra router to be just like btu? Forward pppoe connection to lan port and let own router use vlan and pppoe username and password to connect? I dowan double nat 😠Double-NAT occurs when two routers on the same network are both trying to perform NAT (network address translation). This can cause problems with connectivity and performance. Bridge mode disables the routing functionality of the ONR router, effectively turning it into a modem. This allows your second router to handle all routing duties, eliminating the double-NAT issue. Note: I am talking about optical network routers (ONRs) received by those with the 1 Gbps plan and above. This post has been edited by eclectice: Oct 5 2023, 10:39 AM arslow liked this post

QUOTE(speeder_man @ Oct 5 2023, 10:44 AM) TM playing smart. Will bound to 2 years contract for new equipment and cannot reject the speed upgrade. Unifi will give a choice for the CPE equipment change either make a one-off payment or apply a 24-month contract to pay for that equipment. It is in the FAQ for the program.![]() |

QUOTE(speeder_man @ Oct 5 2023, 11:04 AM) Yes they give option to buy. It is RM188 if i'm not mistaken as somebody mentioned before. But still need to pay something to them. And cannot choose what type of router. Not that bad...You can just ask the technician to set the Unifi router you will receive in the bridge mode so you can use your router as the main router if you have the one that is capable of 1 Gbps speed. This post has been edited by eclectice: Oct 5 2023, 11:06 AM speeder_man liked this post

QUOTE(yakumo @ Oct 5 2023, 11:08 AM) Don't worry. You are actually eligible but it will happen in Jan 2024. They have said there will be no more 30 and 800 Mbps plans in the future. If you are a skittish one, you can just ask Maya and enter a live chat with the Unifi rep. This post has been edited by eclectice: Oct 5 2023, 11:11 AM yakumo liked this post

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Oct 5 2023, 11:13 AM) For users who came from 300mbps-500mbps, we are still using the typical router that can only support up to 500mbps. I understand your sentiment. Just wait until you can afford to buy a capable one and reset the Unifi router in the bridge mode to use your brand new as the main router. (I am telling this for the ONR type; the rest can just replace the Unifi router with the new one)Of course, we can always replace it with those dlink router that given to us by TM. But you know la. Their reliability is usually questionable. Max2006 liked this post

QUOTE(azrin_kiko @ Oct 25 2023, 10:09 AM) Hello guys, i am confused now. I just bought TP Link AX23 and tested it using my unifi pppoe account in my house. Everything is fine but after I changed the pppoe account to my cousin in her house, it can't connect anymore. Have tried resetting, reflash firmware. None of it worked Have you verified that there is no issue with your cousin's PPPoE account? Use the original router first to confirm this. This post has been edited by eclectice: Oct 25 2023, 10:41 AM |

QUOTE(azrin_kiko @ Oct 25 2023, 10:57 AM) No issues on my cousin's PPPoE account, even asked TM to reset the password, use the original router with new password, no issue. but new password on new router, can't connect Hmm, the only possible explanation is that Unifi keeps track of the current router MAC address in their system. You need to inform Unifi about changing the router. |

Then, try to check the PPPoE logs to determine which kind of error it emits.
