The previous owner already using unifi and had the cable laid from FDP at the back of the house up across the rooftop to the front porch and went inside living hall thru a drilled wall. However I notice that the cable on top of porch was broken.
I planned to subscribe a new unifi basic 100mbps home, so will installer laid a whole new cable from FDP or they will just reconnect the broken part and reused the old cable?
u can ask for new cable installation and explain why to them.
same as my case, my previous tenant installed unifi (2021 - pkp time) and i move back in early 2023 and relocate. when tm call for installation, i ask for new cable installation because i said the old cable already broken. they said ok. later ,only 1 technician was assign to installation and said "tak perlu new cable bang, cable ni ok lagi saya dah check. saya patch je."
i just make another call to tm to confirm my previous request and they send addon technician to pull new cable.
must tell tm early.. just afraid kena like me.
