Guys, want to confirm something about Unifi.
The fiber connection unit we cannot replace with 3rd party right? The white/grey unit I mean. Only router can use 3rd party right? |

QUOTE(jusbella @ Sep 21 2023, 09:46 PM) Before you call TM, try to replace that particular router / modem's adapter, as long as 12v 1A/2A adapter will do. See whether its adapter issue or modem/router issue. What the what what, it works. haha Is this a common issue? Adapter too old no more power? No wonder when router or phone turn on it will reset the fiber unit, too much power demand. I swapped with my hypptv adapter, haha. Now I have to call TM to replace the adapter, hope they dont charge me. jusbella liked this post

QUOTE(jusbella @ Sep 21 2023, 11:25 PM) Yes this is common issue, probably adapter component degraded. U can buy more backup adapter from shopee etc. Wah, dont want jailed by contract so long, I think I'll just go buy a new adapter myself. You may try your luck, maybe if within contract they'll replace for you foc. Or else they'll replace for you foc with 24 months contract extension. jusbella liked this post

QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Sep 21 2023, 11:43 PM) Your hypptv is the white color stb? Yes, the white tv box. FYI can try asking 100 still because BTU is TM property shall not extend contract for faulthy replacement Ok I'll check with TM, I really dont want to extend unifi prison contract. haha This post has been edited by LonelyHart16: Sep 22 2023, 12:08 AM |

QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Sep 22 2023, 12:06 AM) You can try contact TM first but many kena asked to pay RM53 etc then it is your time to stand firm tell them BTU is TM property everything is foc or you will bring to mcmc lo use mcmc tekan haha, I dont mind pay RM53, as long they dont reset my contract to 24months. I checked Shopee got the 12V 1A adapter, only RM8 so cheap, not sure if good or not. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Sep 22 2023, 12:37 AM) Don't worry. Last time my BTU adapter spoilt, TM came to change for me foc. No on-site charges and, of course, no contract renewal. I was already out of contract at that time. Cos BTU is their equipment and responsibility. Even though only adapter not working - the adapter died a few months before and I malas to report and was using my own - TM changed both the adapter and the modem. QUOTE(jhleo1 @ Sep 22 2023, 06:12 AM) Router warranty is 1 year only if not mistaken. Definitely won't FOC replace for you. Buy new n better router if too old. QUOTE(victor_hoh @ Sep 22 2023, 08:07 AM) Thank you all, saved me from stressful day. jhleo1 liked this post
