Ever since upgraded to 500Mbps, fast app I can only get this low speed.

currently Cat 5E is capable up to 5Gbe.
Realtek is coming out a 5Gbe USB ethernet adapter next year.

So anyone need to replace the ethernet cable,just get a Cat6A then it should be enough for next 5 year with minimum 10Gbe. (Or higher speed support later)

Tbh, most latest laptop don't even have LAN port . Not much ppl use desktop nowadays

since last saturday my unifi had been having this prob that, it auto disconnect at nite and never reconnect back.

when i checked the BTU, 3 LAN lights was on and after a while becoem 1 LAN light but the rest of lights including AUTH, VOIP etc all did not light. then report to tm, they said they reset port, ask to turn off modem and wifi router to try again. after restarted all devices. it worked.

but next day early morning like 2am, the connection was down again and never reconnected back. i realised only when i woke up and check the BTU. similar things happened again.

today 11am++ also happened again. restarted BTU also down. reported to TM live chat at 7:20pm, the lady resets the port and after  that I restarted the modem and wifi router could not connect to Internet, after finished the call to make appt for technical team to troubleshoot my connection on saturday morning, then i restarted the modem and after a while it worked. but just 10 minutes ago at 10:30pm then connection was down again. and i checked the BTU status again the same things.

i had been experiencing this since saturday until now. intermitten prob.

what could be the cause of this prob? the BTU?

if it is really BTU prob, replacing the BTU will cost contract renewal?

just that the manufacturers like to merge AP function with Router.
i dislike such all-in-one. some good functions are dragged down by bad functions.
example; stable PPPoE connection and routing, hampered by bad wifi signal.

Might as well get something with 10G straight
