Then send out proper sms . Don't tell me free speed upgrade .

Tell me I'm converting from 12 months 500Mbps to permanent upgrade .

Such a big listed company , cannot send a proper message to customer ?

i think you are the one misleading yourself.

you signed up for 300Mbps. You know when you signed up it will revert back to original subscribed speed of 300Mbps.

Kalau awak peniaga, kalau sesuatu yang pada awalnya awak cuma pinjamkan sementara, tapi kemudiannya awak nak beri terus; instead of pelanggan bersyukur atas apa yang pada mulanya pinjaman menjadi kekal, dia minta pula sesuatu yang bertambah-tambah di atas. awak rasa adil?

we don't need to talk about broadband malaysia cut throat pricing lah. that is different agenda. just need to think fairness within the scope of campaign also topkek; what you are demanding now is simply "sudah diberi betis, hendak paha pula"

sheesh... us 2Gbps-ers never even get a message before, and TM improved on that by now.

He's expecting a very personalised notification that is exactly match-made for him, through every channel.

My order suddenly missing.

Same here. Completed order also disappeared. Probably connection to order database server down.

that's normal.

β€’ order not appearing for days

β€’ ... then suddenly appearing

β€’ ... which later gets cancelled

β€’ ... only to disappear again

β€’ ... and replaced by a new order number

β€’ ... and suddenly you get appointment pre-set

100mbps users put on the back seat for the speed upgrading process?
*
just a theory.

those currently on <=100Mbps were given wifi5.
so they might need to upgrade to wifi6 on 300Mbps, thus postponed just like 800Mbps going for ultra.

My bad, login and PW correct. Cause lan 1 and 4 is set to IPTV and VoIP so after changing to lan 2 and 3 can get the internet.

But now wireless can hit 500mbps, but Lan can only get 90mbps. What should I set for Lan to get max speed?
*
CAT5 cable and/or LAN port is only FastEthernet 10/100.

Gigabit Ethernet need CAT5e minimum, on top of GigabitEthernet ports on both sides.

Also, check if you explicitly capped that LAN port to FastEthernet speed in Windows networking and/or BIOS.

but it is still possible to transfer my account to other user right?

I'm tempted to renew my contract for the SWU3.0 but I'm likely to move to somewhere without Unifi coverage next year.

Anyway, I have tried to contact their CS, awaiting their reply on this scenario.

1. @soonwai was responding to another post; himself NOT experiencing the issue highlighted in by poster he responded to.

2. CAT5 and CAT5e are two different cables, in case it is not yet apparent. And highlighted by the other poster, he is already using CAT8.

FYI, wifi works like fiber, you are sharing the total speed with others.
So yes, same channel as your neighbor also good, the router will able to communicate with each others, this avoided WiFi interference.

And yes, interference means like, let us make it easy, ch1 ch 6 ch11 you know right?
if the ch is ch3, it will be affecting ch 1 and ch 6, and it failed to communicate as they are different channel, but if you set as ch1, the routers will try communicate with each others, and get the highest speed as possible. icon_rolleyes.gif

*
walauweh... the routers of different SSIDs aren't supposed to talk to one another lah.
the only situation you want them to talk to one another on same channel is when they are in same mesh backbone group. even mesh nodes in the same group won't sit on same channel except for backbone transmission; scan your airwaves and you will see your mesh nodes are on different channels.

you DON'T WANT overlapping wifi channel.
but since it is unavoidable these days, you WANT the least overlapping channels if you can't get an exclusive channel.

you imagine several separate group of people talking on walkie-talkie ON THE SAME CHANNEL. then they will need to slice the transmission so that each group gets their shared airtime. this will provide less airtime as more groups get onto the same channel. in wifi, that means less time is is able to transmit before it gets interrupted by competing SSIDs.

There is no problem with dlink DIR-X3000Z , the problem rise whn users create a combine SSID which is 2.4/5ghz in 1 single SSID sometime devices will connected to 2.4ghz without knowing because 2.4ghz coverage is better then 5ghz thn cause the dl speed degrade .

Can separate the wifi SSID to XXXX_2.4ghz and XXXX_5ghz instead of create combine single SSID

look into "band steering" feature applicable to your respective make and model, if supported.

Sebab ada yang kata, they slow talk dengan TM Point punya personnel then dapat harga promosi balik. So I am wondering any forummer here have any experience.
*
that's why i said, i suspect each TMpoint - or even personnel attending the counters - are empowered to certain extent to adjust offering with intent to drive up sales. that's why all those SWU or change plans, especially with contract remaining, need to run through neutral approval in HQ so as to avoid too low a price or too excessive a bundle that it ends up hurting TM as a company.

i dont get it, whats the different between having a strong mesh network and FTTR? do they connect each of the child node wired from the main router?
*
FTTR - they lay fiber to the site.

lets say, from your main router in living room, lay invisible fibre over wall(?) all the way to end of far corridor, instead of drilling and hacking wall tonlay CAT cable. imagine your mesh nodes have backbone of fibre instead of wireless or CAT.

(well, of course need to convert the fibre signal back to RJ45 before can plug back to mesh node, but you get the diea...)

whats the benefit of having fiber as private home/residence backhaul as oppose to ethernet? i dont think the ethernet cable speed is anywhere near being maximized by gigabit connection? or its just small latency improvement that casual users wont even notice lol
*
imagine this:

those that previously lamented and sighed wireless mesh weren't exactly a solution and that they can't hack wall or drill holes because of condo/multi-storey house/renovated/permanent fixtures/permanent furnitures/etc etc to do wired backhaul, now can lay invisible fibres along their wall, without even hacking or drilling.

expensive? yes.
satisifed? should be.

oh damn you werent kidding when you said the fibre is invisible, i thought it would have some kind of layering protection like when they pulled it from the the main fiber box

I, for one, will surely spend on this for my house just to create backbone from living room to kitchen. The network is now disjointed into 2 sections connected by wireless mesh; because the ceiling space is divided front-rear by firewall and outdoor water tank, so I can't exactly thread a CAT or fobre as it is without having a shielding pipe installed to protect against exposure to outdoor weather.

must be TMpoint or TMpoint-rebranded-as-Unifi Store.

authorised agents are 3rd-parties, cannot offer deal other than what is standard allowed.
